Just thinking... when I'm connected to one of the AirVPN servers I have to rely that these servers are secure (what measures are taken to ensure integrity of the AirVPN servers?). As an example, if somebody has compromised/hijacked one of the VPN servers/endpoints I'm connecting to this person would have full (network) access to the local network I am connecting from (of course bypassing my router's firewall etc...).

Is this a valid concern and if not, why not?

Thanks!

Every concern regarding IT security is valid, even if you question the security standards of AES (there always is a method to break it, though we can't think of an effective one right now).

You can take it to the bank: AirVPN does what it can to ensure a higher than military grade security level for me, you, him, her, it, us, you, them, every user. <3

As far as I remember AirVPN never waited more than 24 hours to inform their users of security things. So you can be sure to be informed as quick as possible if something happened. Just keep an eye on the forums manually or subscribe to the announcements or forums RSS feeds.
