MANAGEMENT: Client disconnected error OpenVPN dd-wrt

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I can successfully connect using OpenVPN and I can use the internet fine, but in the error logs I have a lot of these. I have searched the forum, google, and even dd-wrt forum but there doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer. Is this part of normal operation or something I should be concerned with?

I am using a Linksys E3000 with a popular and stable build DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/24/10) big - build 15962

Hi,

Have you tried with a recent firmware of DD-WRT? The build you are using might be outdated.

As amires stated, it could be your DD-WRT build is very old. I am running Build 23838 03/29/14.

With Heartbleed and all the other privacy issues that have been updated with OpenVPN your version may not be compatable any longer.

Funny you should mention that I have been looking at later builds before reading this. I am going to try 04-18-2014-r23919/ tonight and see how I get on thanks.

Hi, I'm using DD-WRT on a Netgear NightHawk R7000 100PES and my airvpn worked perfectly all last year on UDP until I moved, but the new ISP seems to block that. (I'm living in Spain - the internet system here is still at the "bang the rocks together guys" stage). I solved that by changing to TCP and that has worked fine for 2 days. Now I am getting this "client disconnected" error. I have read the other post answers about upgrading so I have just burned V3.0 r29020M Kongac (02/02/16!) and tried with LZO No / Yes / Adaptive. It does seem to use tun1 though.

Thanks for any help
