Cant install OpenVpn (Tap Windows error) ???

I wanna start using this VPN because im sick of my ISP but I cant install OpenVpn. Im getting this error message saying:

 

error opening file for writing

 

then a filepath leading to a temp directory / tap-windows.exe

 

Ive tried googling it for an hour or so but im having no luck

 

Im using win 7 64 bit

 

Any chance someone can help me out please?

I had so much trouble trying to get the TAP driver to install.  i searched around the internet for a couple days and read pretty much everything there is on the problems.  The final verdict i came to and read about was that my registry was messed up.  i reinstalled a windows backup from a while back and i got everything up and running. Try to install the newest openvp package though before going to te extremes that i had to.  https://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html

Cheers mate, but after hours of scratching around I finally got it sorted

 

I didn't have the latest windows updates installed so I think that's what solved it. Although I did change a handful of other things before that which needed a reboot to take effect so im not 100% sure on exactly what solved it, but after the reboot it is now sorted
