Tor over VPN - IP leaked

As the title says, today I used Tor over VPN  and my IP address was shown at the Ipleak.net.

However when using just VPN i had no problems with leaking.

 

Any thoughts on what might have caused that?

This not the first time I hear about Tor ... yes its not that much secure and your IP easily leak so not sure about data leaking as well..

I have never experienced that and I often use TOR over VPN.  I use a VM with TOR and virtualbox so that only NAT is connected through the host, which is the VPN connection.  Depending upon your needs you might try utilizing the isolation that a well crafted VM would add.  Really solid on my end.
