OpenVPN with obfsproxy versus OpenVPN with SSL tunneling

I have just learned that that there is an obfsproxy option/patch for use with OpenVPN.

 

I would like to have some feedback on the use of OpenVPN with obfsproxy as opposed to using OpenVPN with SSL tunneling. Below are some criteria that I can think of:

 

* performance hit

* number of disconnections

* prone to disconnections

* compatibility with latest OpenVPN software version which is 2.3.2-I003

* for Microsoft Windows OS users, is there a need to modify the OS registry keys
