Easy way to route traffic on a per application bases over AirVPN?

Recommended Posts

I've seen various threads on here about socks5 connections, and them not being supported by AirVPN (I think)

I'm a web developer, and AirVPN is very useful for testing geo-location bases web development, given that I can change my location, or test how things resolve to certain countries.

However I'd rather not go through the connect/disconnect everytime I want to test a country.

Without going through the walkthough I saw earlier for split traffic (very well documentated btw), is there anyway I can setup a proxy on my local machine that will route traffic over the vpn, and still have normal traffic use my normal connection?

I understand that AirVPN doesn't have a proxy to connect to, but I'm wondering if there's any way to run a localhost proxy server, and have all that traffic go over the VPN instead.

I really could use this same ability myself. I've seen the write-up about using an outdated program called "ForceBind" to make an application use a different network interface, but for a variety of reasons that is not practical for me. This type of a solution described here would be very helpful to me. I'll be watching this post hoping for a good response!!
