www.tv3play.se appears to be banned on both Swedish servers as well.

Tested on both Internet Explorer and Firefox with the same problem. (Geoblocks)

Maybe they're having a crackdown on VPN usage in Sweden?

Maybe it was automatically banned due to a high amount of requests within a short time period. As you know, e.g. YouTube implemented a CAPTCHA if the amount of requests from a single IP address exceeds a predefined limit for a predefined range of time. I can imagine tv3play.se implemented something similar, banning an individual IP for some time to stop the requests automatically. That's not saying the staff has actively requested to unban it.

So if this is the case, then everyone needs a private Swedish IP number from the VPN provider?

I've once been on another VPN provider's subscription page (before subscribing to AirVPN ) and saw that they offered an extra option: You could choose between using a shared IP, or an individual IP for $100 a year more or so, I don't remember the exact costs.

 

So in conclusion I think VPN providers use shared IP addresses to save space in their given IP range because having more of them costs more. Maybe... It also could be because it's harder to identify the user downloading file A, then... since AirVPN is logging the "Air" of "AirVPN" and not the "VPN".. you know, this sounds utterly logical..

What about adding support for dynamic Swedish IPs for stream sites?

(Add it under "modes" in the client?)

Users not using the Air client (like me) couldn't use it if it would be a feature of Air's own VPN client.

None of the Swedish play sites works exept svtplay.se. Tv4, tv3. kanal5 are all geoblocked. Tv4.se uses This site to check your geolocation. Eventhough i use a Swedish server that should be located in Åkersberga Sweden it just says "Anonymous Proxy" with no location. I guess that is why tv4 is blocking me.
