Download Speed Dropped using Windows 7

Hi guy's,

 

Now i've been with you a while now so i know it's not a problem with your servers, but what's happened is, i've gone from Windows 8 to Windows 7, only Windows 8 i was always getting around 42-45 meg download and around 15 meg upload. For some reason now i'm on Windows 7, my download speed has dropped to around 4 meg down, yet the upload is still the same 15ish.

 

I've tried all the different servers, have disabled Comodo, disabled the Windows Firewall, have tried both udp and tcp and still the same, has anyone else had this issue with Windows 7 and if so, how did you get around it?

We have had some sporadic cases in which a customized network manager installed by the computer manufacturer slowed down significantly throughput on the tun/tap interface (the virtual network card used by OpenVPN). Can you please check whether the network manager is the default one by Microsoft or if it has been replaced?

Hi,

 

In Device manager under Network adapaters, it has NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet which is showing as 100Mbps and TAP-Windows Adapter V9 which in the network display shows as only 10 Mbps. I have my usual Home connection then underneath i have a public network showing when i start the AirVpn software. I'm not sure if this is the info you need?

Feel free to close this now, have gone back to Windows 8 and the AirVpn client is running at full speed again :-) Don't know why it doesn't like my Windows 7 but at least speed is back to normal,
