French live-tv/catchup-tv websites

Hi everyone, 

 

The interruption of the french server may have shown that a lot of users (me included) used it for watching french live/catch-up TV.

As it seems that we may not have a new french server soon, would it be possible to unlock the following TV sites of their geolocalized restriction.

For the sake of it, I tried to connect to those websites using the Luxembourg server (as Lux is a very small country next to France).

 

All did block the content.

I really hope one server can grant us access to French TV (I usually use CanalPlus, but for some special occasion FranceTV or TF1).

 

I have seen in another topic that it might be possible with a Netherlands based server.

As they have a FR rooting server, it could be easily possible.

sorry, there is a delay due to unforeseen problems. The micro-routing Ubertechie has detected a bug in the micro-routing system and has been fixing it. Additionally, we have an annoying delay (for unknown reasons at the moment) on the delivery of another server in France which would have helped us in the testings AND that in our plans will be employed in the near future as a full VPN server (if it will pass all the tests).

 

Hopefully you should see news soon.

There was some long delay but in the end the server we paid 5-6 weeks ago is almost ready to be configured. We will probably be able to start configuring it in less than a week. Configuration will take just 10-20 minutes, after that we'll keep the server on testing mode for a couple of days, and finally, if everything goes well, we'll announce it and put it public.

It seems the IP from Furud might have been added to a list of geoblocking. For a few days now, some sites can detect we are not in France. For example http://pluzz.francetv.fr/ Replay as well as live feed are now geoblocked. They used to work flawlessly up until just a few days ago. Here is a precise example: http://pluzz.francetv.fr/videos/on_nest_pas_couche.html

 

Could you investigate and offer a possible resolution?

Yes few days ago Furud got blacklisted by many french live-tv, including live.mycanal.fr

Thanks for validating my hypothesis.  The whole reason I signed up was to go around geoblocking. Furthermore, there is only one server in France (which is most of the time at 100% capacity) so unless they find a way to change their IP, it is not going to get any better for us with AirVPN.

I'm new with AirVNP.

I've seen this topic about french TV access out of France.

I Try to connect from USA on the french website mycanal.fr. I can't use this website with all server AirVPN I have taste.

Do you have any solution?

Looks like the FranceTV Info stream is not working with AirVPN http://www.francetvinfo.fr/en-direct/tv.html This works outside France without a VPN, I don't think it's geo-restricted :/

I can confirm that France 2 channel cannot be watched using any AirVPN server. Can you please reconfigure the routing? Thanks.

Thanks for the link, it does work. But it's odd anyway that watching live through the official http://pluzz.francetv.fr/ doesn't work any more, since it worked fine so far with Airvpn, and the replays from this website (which are also geo-restricted) are still working ! only the live is blocked from some reason.

Would be nice to have some feedback to see if it's possible to check that, thanks a lot

Well these are two separate issues. Jean claud posted a link to a streamer site that shows French channels. There is no guarantee this site will be here forever. On the other hand, not accessing the official France TV channels using an AirVPN server means the routing capability is broken. Only AirVPN engineers can fix this.

No you won't. I've asked AirVPN to micro-route the app.

You can already access to this page with AirVpn and also to https://www.france.tv/   (ex France Pluzz) to watch replays

There is other free application (for Windows) to look at the french TV (TNT), it's CapTvTy

 

Some channels (France TV, C8, BFM TV, CNews, CStar ...) are okay with AirVPN and IP in Switzerland or Belgium But not TF1, M6 and W9
