Windows 7 64 Keeps connecting to multiple Wifi networks

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if this is an AirVPN issue but I noticed recently on top of a flaky wifi connection, windows keeps connecting to multiple wifi networks...virtually.  It will always connect to my actual network + an unidentified network (see attachment).

The icon in the system tray is also incorrect:  Instead of a wifi icon, it's the standard wired icon with an X above it.

I went to Network Connections and I have 3 adapters listed:  Local Area Connection, Local Area Connection 2 (Unidentified Network) TAP-Windows Adapter V9, and Wireless Network Connection.

I tried disabling the Local Area Connection 2 which seems to be the culprit but when it's disabled, AirVPN wlll not connect.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
