Air VPN problems in Windows 8

I'm fairly new to Air VPN, only had it for 3 days now. I just installed Windows 8 yesterday and today installed the Air VPN client.

So far, the client successfully connects but it does not route anything through it. Every program stills runs through my normal connection and I can't figure out how to get everything to switch through the VPN.

Everything worked well in Windows 7 but Windows 8 seems to have broken something.

Just tell me if you need any info.

Please help.

Did you install Comodo firewall for Windows 8 and set it up like the guide here?

Sorry for the late response, kind of forgot about this topic after it fixed.

I guess I forgot to install OpenVPN/open AirVPN as an Admin. Once I did, everything worked. I feel like a newbie. lol

I was having a lot of issues connecting after upgrading to Windows 8. After a lot of different things, and trying a number of different options at the OpenVPN level, this blog post pointed to the need to install the CMAK.

Windows 8 (Does NOT have ‘RAS Connection Manager’ turned on by default Sooooo:-

Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features

‘Turn Windows features on or off’

Turn On ‘RAS Connection Manager Administration Kit (CMAK)’

OK

Close ‘Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features window’

I had to reboot afterwards, YMMV. Hope this helps others!!
