ANSWERED Eddie freezing on network lock Ubuntu 18.04

It used to work fine until yesterday but something broke it.

I sometimes got an error message along the words of: network activation failed because it is already in place. Most of the time it just freezes the client.

Downloaded the beta 2.17.2 because the changelog suggested a fix but nothing. The button changes but the titlebar says "activation of Network lock - Linux iptables" forever and eddie becomes unresponsive.

 

Tried reinstalling iptables, tried flushing ipv6&ipv4 tables manually. Nothing changed

 

Any fix for this? Log doesn't say anything. Just stuck on "Activation of Network Lock"

Hello!

 

Please enable "Log debug" in "Preferences" > "Logging". It will increase log verbosity which could provide some clue about what happens (feel also free to send the log or even better a system report, even in a ticket).

 

EDIT: also, while Eddie is not running, you might rename the file ~/.airvpn/default.xml (root access is needed to do that). It's Eddie configuration file. At the next run Eddie will create a new default.xml file with all default settings: check whether the problem gets sorted out or not.

The issue resolved itself. I cannot replicate it anymore and Network lock is faster than ever with the new Beta!
Will post the log and try deleting the config if it ever happens again. Thanks
