Eddie disappears from system tray on Debian Stretch

Like the thread title says.  Strange as not always but usually during a long session.  For the record I verify I am still in the tunnel and things like dnsleaktest, etc... all show everything is still rock solid connection wise.  I have to basically log in again which  brings Eddie UP and then I exit properly.  I glanced through this forum and I didn't see anyone else chiming in.  Am I the lone ranger here?  I did NOT do a bunch of log captures because I thought I would start here with a simple question:  is it happening to others on debian using the latest STABLE release?

 

 

 

 

Little side question.  What does the "single instance" tick box actually do on the client when using linux?
