In short: Yes.

In long: Technically speaking, no one can reach you on any port if they were to connect to your torrent client while you are connected to an AirVPN server.

|      <- someone wants to connect to "door" 1, or port 1

- - - <- "doors"/ports on the AirVPN server are closed

v - - <- your "doors". v is the torrent client, the "sink", expecting a connection

As you may see, the closed "doors" on the AirVPN server prevent a connection to your "doors". To make sure that traffic on some ports are handed down to your torrent client, you open a port on the AirVPN server through the remote port forwarding feature.

|      <- the connector again

| - - <- Opened port on AirVPN server

v - - <- torrent client again

Now traffic coming in on this port will be directed to you. Traffic between you and the AirVPN server will be encrypted by OpenVPN, no matter if a port is open or not. So no worries there.
