Unable to contact provider AirVPN

Hi:

 

My downloads are working fine, and always have, but lately I keep getting a pop-up notice that says: "Unable to contact provider AirVPN to obtain bootstrap information. Please check your internet connection." As I said, the downloads work fine.

 

I'm using an Arch VM (Manjaro in this case) on a Windows 10 LTSB host, with the network set to Bridged. The client is the "Beta" version of Eddie, installed from the AUR.

 

The notices come about every 10 minutes or so (I never timed them), but again, the downloads work fine.

 

Any ideas? Should I care about this?

I just got this message today.  It doesn't seem to have an impact on my internet connection but does make me curious if there is an effect on my privacy.  I am using Eddie 2.14.5.

i have been getting this on windows 7.  latest version of Eddie installed 3 days ago.

 

udp connections work fine.  i only seem to get it from SSL connections?

We are getting this popup when logging into computer on Macbook Air 2013, High Sierra OS. I am on Eddie version 2.14.5. I can make the popup go away, and it doesn't recur afterwards (only appears that first time on logging in). Doesn't stop downloads, or browsing, or whatever. I am wondering what it is though, and like @vypforme2, I  am wondering if this affects privacy at all. Anyone out there with any ideas?

I’m getting the same message on a Mac when it wakes up from sleep. It seems to work fine as soon as you dismiss it.

Hello!

 

This message means that Eddie failed to contact all the "bootstrap servers", i.e. specific servers which are used to transmit special information to Eddie for your comfort or to prepare for service access. Of course if you are already connected to the VPN or if the next attempt is successful, you can dismiss this message.

Cannot connect to any server, any solution for this issue?
