Asus RT-N12 D1

Hi all,

 

I just set up an Asus RT-N12 D1 as a secondary router for AirVPN. I have my two home networks (2.4 and 5 GHz) from Xfinity and now I see my VPN wireless network from my Asus router. I was just reading the "Using AirVPN with Asus router" (https://airvpn.org/asuswrt/) but it looks like my router model (RT-N12 D1) doesn't use that firmware. I am stuck here and don't know what my options are to setup AirVPN in that Asus, could I get some guidance?

The steps should be the same on mostly all new Asus firmwares.

Make sure to download the latest one from here:

https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/RTN12_D1/HelpDesk_BIOS/

 

Then you will have the VPN tab to set up the client, the same as in the AsusWRT guide.

Dear Spedraza,

did the firmware update give you the Client tab?

I am trying to get my RT-N12 to work with airvpn but zhangs fix didnt work for me, sadly.

Zhang, is there any possibility to get it working with airvpn if ist doesnt work this way?
