Air VPN Client

Recommended Posts

Hi, Today I am unable to visit/ping any website using the Air VPN Client (1.7) on windows 7. I was able to yesterday and have not changed any settings. When I pick a server it states connecting/checking then connected but have no internet access when I disconnect I have internet access again. In the Your Details on the website it says I have connected. I am able to connect without the client on my linux machine with no problems. Thanks

*Please move to Air VPN Client section sorry*

Hello!

Can you please send us the logs of the failed connections (not the successful ones from Linux)?

Also, can you please check whether you can ping our DNS IP address (see here https://airvpn.org/specs) or not from Windows 7 while connected?

We're looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Hello!

Just use the directive log-append or log to generate a log wherever you wish when you launch OpenVPN (or put that directive in the configuration file). For example:

log-append /var/log/openvpnair.log

Add that line in the configuration file.

Anyway, we would like to see the logs under Windows 7, because you wrote that you have no problems in your Linux box, but you do have DNS issues under Windows 7.

Kind regards

@xdroid

The logs look ok.

Please check whether you have forced external DNS on your Windows network setup. Make sure that Windows accept DHCP-pushed DNS for the TAP-Win32 adapter (Windows does not have the concept of global DNS, it can use a DNS for each network card). If necessary, try to force Air DNS as primary DNS.

We're looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards
