I am running the AirVPN client on my desktop with AirVPN controlling my iptables rules. I have forwarded port 22 in my router firewall to my desktop, but i am unable to connect to my desktop on SSH from the outside world. I have no problem when im trying to connect to my desktop on SSH from another computer on my local network.

How do i configure AirVPN to allow traffic from the outside world without using AirVPNs port service but using my real WAN IP?

You have to assigned available ports, which are higher than 2048.

You can then forward them to any device on port 22 with your router or iptables on desktop.
