Eddie hangs by "checking authorisation" in ubuntu 16.04

Just installed Eddie on ubuntu 169.04 and it works... but I have to wait for a very long time ... see the red lines in the log below:

same thing happening to me, but until yesterday eddie has worked flawlessly for months.  same authorization error

Have you made sure you're not using up your 3 device slots?

 

Perhaps trying a different protocol will help you too, so you can try that. Just reconnect to servers after every switch .
