DNS problems on public wifi

Recommended Posts

I travel a lot and use AirVPN when connecting to public and other wifi signals, like in hotels etc..

I'm connected to a wifi system that uses captive portal. Through it I can connect to an AirVPN server if I disable route checking in the Eddy client, but I cannot access any websites.

It seems that somehow unless I use the default DNS servers for that captive portal wifi, I cannot access any external sites. I've tried this with AirVPN servers but also Google DNS servers.

Is there a work around for this?
