OpenVPN nsCertType deprecated?

I'm running OpenVPN on DD-WRT.  Everything seems to work fine, but in the OpenVPN logs I see

 

20170909 14:02:07 W WARNING: --ns-cert-type is DEPRECATED. Use --remote-cert-tls instead.

 

I guess this means the configuration will stop working at some point?  Is there some other configuration I should use instead?

Maybe you're using really old configs?  I'm pretty sure all the ones I've ever downloaded used remote-cert-tls already.

I did use the Config Generator to make a config, but I only used the generated config to get the certificates (as described in the above post).

 

Is there a way to load the generated config directly into DD-WRT OpenVPN?

I don't know about that.  I know there is in Asus firmware.  But, I use pfsense currently.
