Hi everybady,

in my school network, if I want to use a vpn I'm obliged to use TCP with port 80.

I've tried to use Eddie client but it doesn't work (at home, without firewall I don't have any problems).

If I try to use openvpn (TCP with port 80), without Eddie client it runs.

In Eddie client's settings I see in protocol TCP with port 80.

What I've to do to make it run correctly?

Thanks a lot, cheers,

Alan

ps: I run Eddie client on Debian stretch with xfce;)

TCP/443 is essential for HTTPS. If your network admins don't allow it, you should hit them in the face right now. :D Unless it's a proxy, though, but it doesn't sound like it.

Your logs could help, for the sake of comparison you could append logs from Eddie and from vanilla OpenVPN separately as two files or two spoilers (see my signature for a how-to on spoilers).

Always remember:
There's a guide to AirVPN,

Amazon IPs are not dangerous here,
running TOR exits is discouraged,

using spoilers for your logs is the proper way to heaven.
Same issues are rare! Search for solutions and if not successful open your own threads.

~ Furthermore, I propose that your paranoia is to be destroyed. ~

. 2017.06.01 08:16:49 - Checking authorization ..., 1° try failed (Length of the data to decrypt is invalid.)

You're not the first with this error. Unfortunately, there's no solution on these forums yet. All we know is it's occuring when trying to login. I have reason to believe it's a bug of Eddie.
