What is the future of VPN's

Hello to all !

 

 

VPN are easy to detect ( see https://whoer.net/#extended ) , some sites are now blocking vpn users . How are they proceeding,  is it simply an ip collection that they refuse or are they using something else ?

if those limitations will become more and more effective , could  it be a danger for vpn's

Is there a solution to bypass those restrictions

That is a great question, and something I've been wondering about myself. Too many sites are blocking VPN's now, which is not only frustrating but is also disturbing on a few levels. I heard some use DNSCrypt, but not sure exactly what that does or how it works? Would love to hear if anyone else knows how to keep websites from blocking VPN's.

Privacy is a coin with two sides. When no one is looking, would you still blindly obey rules and laws? There's nothing you can do to make them not block VPN servers.

There is nothing we can do to keep them from wanting to block VPN's, but there may be something we can do to keep them from recognizing we are using a VPN. That's the key distinction.

Well I tried  this :

 

Works like a charm on witch site

But not on Whoer site

 

Any idea ????

Does WITCH work for you? I get this:

No matching host in p0f cache. That's all we know.

Whoer works, though. Might be two different approaches to testing this.

WITCH site regularly has problems.  When it's working it shows more information.  Right now it's broken and always says "no openvpn detected".

Keep in mind that most sites track VPN users based on the datacenter server IP range, and not your MTU.

Problem fixed by replacing SSFIX value by 1300 , whoer doesn't recognize the VPN and WHITCH too . Thank you  a lot ...

If the bloking-sites just after your privacy ,use something like pi-hole (pi-hole.net) or  pfsense (blockerng)

Perhaps in the long run,it is not efficient to use a vpn-provider,but I will protect whatever is mine and not give away easily . 

So far I am glad I joined Airvpn ; have found not to much problems.If they do not want to recognize my Privacy i go somewhere else.

But netflix is a sign.. .

Since 1990 the freedom on the Internet has not stopped decreasing, Airvpn is an tool of resistance, not a marketing object simply intended to download torrents. Subscribing to a vpn that has a certain ethic  as Airvpn is also a militant necessity to fight for the preservation of Internet freedom in front of the political will that aims to reduce it and also the will of the merchants who want to appropriate all the space for themselves

dear jean claude, i tried both mssfix 1350 and 1300 but i still get openvpn on witch on whoer.

any idea what could be wrong?

I encountered somme probs too with these values , I've set mssfix  to 1250 and now it works perfectly on my two pc's .
