Best Answer banshee28, 10 January 2017 - 10:03 PM

W 2017.01.09 09:43:27 - Connection refused

OpenVPN 2.4 made the problem occur. Use this workaround.

This worked, Thanks so much!!! :good:

I noticed this before, but was not sure if it was related since my errors seemeed different.

Soon I will be updating to the latest Beta version as well.

Been running this version for a long time now, mainly due to not being able to update 'mono' on my Arch PC, and today it stopped working. It tries to authenticate then quickly errors and re-starts trying to connect. I noticed some error about my '--tun mtu' setting so I removed it (it's been set for a year or so) and it seemed to get further but still fails. I did update to openvpn 2.4.0, but thats been weeks with no issues. Latest logs show:

Always remember:
There's a guide to AirVPN,

Amazon IPs are not dangerous here,
running TOR exits is discouraged,

using spoilers for your logs is the proper way to heaven.
Same issues are rare! Search for solutions and if not successful open your own threads.

~ Furthermore, I propose that your paranoia is to be destroyed. ~

I know this is resolved already, but I wanted to report back. I was running this old version for a long time. I figured it was time to update and also try to fix the Mono package dep issue. I removed Airvpn 2.10.3, removed Mono, installed the latest 2.11.11 beta and the very latest Mono. It worked the first time! I also notice the "management 127..." directive in there also, along with the new layout! Cool...Thanks!!!

I'm running 2.10.3 without problem for a while on my VM linux mint. should I upgrade or leave it for now? never had any leaks. problem is I'm not very experienced with linux so I'm not sure I'll know how to properly remove/install this mono thingy so I'm afraid to mess something up...
