Notice of Claim of Copyright Infringement

Hello everybody,

 

I started to use AirVpn about 3 days ago, and today i got an email from my IPS ( comcast ), a notice of claim of copyright infringement from Zenimax ( a game company ) saying i was using utorrent with the file :

- Fallout 4 Update v1 1 30 CODEX. I choose to use a VPN to get privacy using torrents, and the strange in all of this is the date of this claim from Zenimax is dated 2 days BEFORE i start to become a member and using AirVPN. I  have bieng using utorrent about 2 years and never got this warning from Comcast. I am not an expertise in torrents, trackers, and i would like to know if i am safe using this VPN while utorrent opened.

 

Is its not a strange coincidence i got this email from Comcast 2 days after i start using AirVPN, saying i was having copyrights abuse?

I am kinda of lost, if someone could help...

Well as you said it is dated before you became a member, also as far as I know copyright claims aren't sent out immediately but the way they find you is that anti-piracy companies spy on the peer list and logs the IPs and the data they download and upload.

 

So as I told you above due to that if you use a VPN the IP they find isn't traced to you.

Were you seeding the file before you started using AirVPN? Or did you download it before then? If so that download was unprotected. If you downloaded it using AirVPN, i would strongly advise you to check for leaks using ipleak.net and doileak.com as well as using their respective torrent checkers to check for IP leaks. Also verify you have network lock enabled at all times.

This is just a coincidence and you should never see a copyright notice again if you use Air. As a sidenote if you play Fallout 4 the Killable Children or Immersive Killable Children mods are essential bug fixes, I have no idea how anyone can play those games without one of them. I am normally against using mods on an initial playthrough but these critical bug fixes enhance the fun about 666 times. Having to use mods for such delights will soon enough be considered the dark ages of gaming, so take advantage of it while it's still necessary
