Client feature suggestion in context of network lock with headless machines

Recommended Posts

I love the Network-Lock feature of AirVPN, it's the best I am aware of. Yet, there is one problem if used with headless/remote machines.

I run a headless Mac mini and connect to this machine from a Macbook (using default remote access from Apple OS X). Let's assume, network lock is on and the vpn is active. If I now need to disconnect the VPN manually, the connection to the VPN goes down and - thanks to the network lock - also kills the remote session. If I am in the same network (e.g. at home), I can reconnect as "allow lan/private" in the preferences is set. If I am external, I am doomed, no chance to get back to the machine unless I am back home.

What would be needed: in addition to the "disconnect button" a button named "disconnect and disable network lock" + "Do you really want to disable the network lock" alert.

(And consequently, the other way round, connect to vpn and active network lock (combined in one step) would be fine too).
