Pfsense 2.2.4 /w OpenVPN

Recommended Posts

Stable for a year but lately the tunnel has been dropping and I have to restart the VPN service to renew tunnel.  I have two tunnels pointing to two different servers (US/EU) and either one can drop irrespective of the other.  I used the awesome PfSense guide found in this forum but something has changed on the AirVPN side for the tunnel to now becoming flaky.

Advice?

When creating the two VPN Client tunnels I had to specify different values for IPv4 Tunnel Network. e.g. 10.0.9.0/24 and 10.0.10.0/24

IPv4 Tunnel Network. is found on the /VPN/OpenVPN menu, Client tab, edit a connection

I won't claim to know what I'm doing but pfSense appeared to be assigning the two VPN connections the same network subnets which then interfered with each other.

If anyone knows why this solution  fixes the problem I would be interested to know why as I found it through guessing and trial and error.
