hello, i have a 20 megabit adsl, without VPN i can download the same torrent at 1MB/s so it's the vpn, with vpn i can reach only 100 KB/s and sometimes go to 10-20 for some minutes, i forwarded the port of utorrent but nothing

can someone help me?

I have a similar problem. I'm using Tixati encrypted packets only. Without vpn using sock5 proxy and tcp encrypted i get about 1.5mbps to 2.5 mbps. With vpn(airvpn client) and portforwarding and  ssl tunneling to 443 and without the tunnel I consistently get about 10 - 24 kpbs down. If i stop my torrents. my down jumps to about 200kbps. Is there a configuration that I'm not getting right? I tried to follow the advice given in https://airvpn.org/topic/13568-issues-with-torrents/. I haven't run the  TCPOptimizer   mentioned. There but thats about it. I'm new to airvpn just trying to understand what Im doing wrong.

also, it seems that not all air servers allow port forwarding. I have ports forwarded to transmission and it was working perfectly for the longest time. lately though on US servers the ports remain closed while as soon as I connect to one of the canadian servers for example ports open immediately. Is this a known issue?
