Good day to all.

After some testing I need to know how to fix an issue with speed.

Win7 32 bit

CPU E6300

AirVPN Eddie 2.3

Service 50/10

I was concerned about much lower speeds I have had with the Eddie client for Windows 7. When I used the original AirVPN client I was achieving upwards of 90% of my connection speed. Very happy with the service.

Now being one of those people that like to try something new, I have tried the Eddie version of the AirVpn client. I can't get better than 10 Mbps download speeds. Eventually, after different tests and such I checked Task Manager for something else and noticed the the Tap adapter was listed at a 10 Mbps connection. I have attached a screen cap.

How can I fix this?

Thanks for any help.

Hello!

Neither the previous versions of the Air client nor Eddie affect performance, they are both OpenVPN wrappers. The 10 Mbit/s is just a dummy hard coded value in the TAP-Win32 driver which has remained there since years ago, it does not mean anything.

Kind regards
