AirVPN over corporate network

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am trying to connect to AirVPN servers via iOS (OpenVPN) while at work.  My options seem to be limited to TCP over port 80.  When I try to connect, I get an embedded_packet_size_error.    I used the AirVPN configuration tool to create the connection profile.  Is there a way to edit the config file to address the error?

Are you sure your company doesn't block VPN access in its network security appliance?

I do not imagine so since we use a different VPN to access the internal corporate network from mobile devices.

Having tried different ports and protocols, this connection seems to get farther before it errors out.

Would it get this far if VPN access was blocked?

Sorry if these are basic questions. Thanks for your help.

Your still hooking off the sites wifi? Your network admin could have set firewall rules to prevent VPN use. Have you checked with them or you trying this 'under the radar' ??

It is the corporate wifi, but it does allow VPN access to the corporate intranet through a different application. I am trying to use OpenVPN for iOS to provide for a bit of privacy from a company that tracks everything on their network.

Would a packet size error show up if the whole application is blocked?
