  1. Hi, I would like to set up split-tunneling by using the "routes" tab within the Eddie client (Windows). I want all traffic to be sent outside of the tunnel, except for my torrent client qBittorrent like it is described in this forum post. Unfortunately, the comment by the staff member did not include an explanation with steps how to do this exactly. I want to be sure that I am doing it correctly, so just guessing or trial and error is not an option, as I am worried about exposing my IP address if I do not set it up correctly. I was not able to find an explanation for this as all the other forum posts that I found only explained how to do it with using external software and not the Eddie client. My knowledge about networking is somewhat limited. So how exactly do I either exclude all traffic except from the tunnel except for the one specified? And how do I know which IP addresses I need to include for qBittorrent? are there multiple or just one? If someone knows how to see which one(s) it is in the "execution log" within qBittorrent please let me know. Adding these details in case they make a difference: I have port forwarding set up and use wireguard as a protocol and I have the Web-UI enabled to use with Prowlarr. I don't know if I am using IPv4 and/or IPv6.
  2. Afternoon, I'm not quite getting this settings yet, I have my hostname entered in the form of hostname.networkDomainName.com and it also included the CIDR IP num.num.0.0/16. I can use the IP to get to my pfSense UI, but not the hostname+doman format, the When connected is Outside the VPN tunnel. Do I need to close Eddie and/or reboot to get this to work or what else?
  3. Hey all, This is my second Day with AirVPN. I'm merely testing the water so I've signed up for 3 days. Initially I was drawn by the famous Network Lock, however right now it seems to be causing me trouble. Anyway, here's what I want to do. I would like to use tunnel only on certain sites. Therefore, I have been using the "Routes" option in the Eddie preference tab. From there, I've set the "Note Specified Routes go:" to Outside of Tunnel. All the sites that I want to be accessing through the tunnel are added to the list with the Action "Inside the VPN Tunnel". Everything works as expected and I've been testing with Ipleak.net to make sure. From there, I noticed the little message that says "Ip in 'Outside of Tunnel' are also unlocked When Netowrk Lock is active'", which according to my understanding means that even with NL active, if a certain ip is set to be Outside the Tunnel, it will remain accesible. Correct me if I'm wrong. Therefore, with my current setup, every single site should still be accessible with NL on, and only the sites that are specifically listed to "Inside Tunnel" should lose their connection upon VPN failure. Correct? However, it seems that when I turn on NL. I lose Access to every single site, whether they be Inside or Outside the Tunnel. Is this a bug, or I'm I just massively misunderstanding this. I could go with regular windows Iptables, but I'd rather use Eddie as it's much more user friendly. Thanks in Advance!
  4. Hi. I configured Eddie so that the IPs of certain websites are accessed only from outside the VPN tunnel. (Settings -> Routes) These routing rules work just fine, but as soon as I activate network lock I can't access the specified sites anymore. I can ping them, but I can't access them inside the browser. They basically get blocked. I tried multiple versions of Eddie (2.12.4, 2.11.15, 2.10.39, various protocols and ports and of course various websites. I also tried both methods for network lock (Windows Firewall & Windows Filtering Platform). I'm having this issue on both Windows 7 and Windows 10. Any ideas how to fix this? Anyone else having this problem? Please, if you have any idea at all on how to fix this, let me know. I really need both network lock and routing rules to work simultaneously.
  5. Hi there. Somehow the "routes" function doesn't seem to work reliably for me. I enter the IP, choose "outside the VPN tunnel" as action and then hit "save". I then restart Eddie. When I then visit these sites, I am still accessing them through the VPN tunnel. I noticed because I had to re-login when changing VPN servers. Then i wanted to test it further. I added the IPs of "ipleaks.net" and "whoer.net" as an exception, restarted Eddie and then checked my IP on those sites. ipleaks.net displayed my actual IP, whoer.net kept displaying my AirVPN exit IP. I already raised a support ticket, and Staff said they were unable to reproduce this error. I'm running the latest Eddie 2.12.4 on Windows 7 x64. I'm using TAP driver 9.9.2. Network lock is activated and set to "automatic". Furthermore I'm using Bitdefender Internet Security 2017. Previously I've been using the "routes" function successfully for at least a year. The only thing that changed recently is I switched from Windows 8.1 to Windows 7. Do you have any ideas what I could try? Also, how can I test that these routes are actually working like I configured them? Any other ways to test that besides whitelisting the IPs from these "what is your IP address" sites? Thank you in advance.
  6. So Recently I Wanted to exclude several services from the VPN using the built in "Routes" tab in particular Netflix, Blizzard, and Steam (AS2906, AS55095, AS27976, AS32590) and the task seemed unreasonably hard so I did a little digging and it seems that Eddie uses windows firewall for the network lock but I could not find my already white-listed IP's under any of the per-existing Firewall rules nor in any config files made by the client. Is their any work around for this?
  7. I always ha defined routes which should be outside the vpn tunnel. In my case I have a router with the ip 192.168.0.1 and the whole net 192.168.0/24 should be out of the VPN tunnel. I just stopped working today: As soon as an connection to a vpn server is established the connections to my net cuts off. If just the network lock is activated and no connection to a vpn is running, I can access the net 192.168.0.1 without any problem.
  8. Hello, Blizzard, the creator of World of warcraft, doesn't like people using VPN (They often ban people using VPN) because of hackers and gold sellers often using this services. I want to make WoW bypass AirVpn. I've tried both with up to 4 specific IP addresses (Looking at windows resources monitor) at once and i've tried with ranges inside the range i've seen world of warcraft servers having IP addresses within. But i can see that my ping goes up to 200 ms within the game (Using a far away VPN server, i normally have ~20 ms), thus indicating this bypass is not working - Why is that?
  9. Hey there. How do I check / verify that I connect to the websites with my real IP instead of through the VPN tunnel? Is there any third party software required to verify this or are there tools built into WIndows (8.1) or the Eddie Client to check this? Thanks in advance. And great VPN by the way!
  10. On the routes option of the VPN program for Windows 2.8.8, there is an option for "Not specified routes go:" and the only way I can get my WD live media players to see the computer that has the VPN running on it is to set this option to "Outside the VPN" My Question is, does this compromise the point of the vpn for p2p (I have Vuze binded to the VPN connection, and the port forwarded) or to anything I look at via Firefox on the computer? Or better still do you know of how I would need to have this set up to run the above option as "Inside the VPN Tunnel" and allow the WD live players to see my FTFS network shares on the PC that has the VPN running. Many thanks for your help...
