Hi, I've been using AirVPN for a few days and I noticed that Eddie probably isn't quite fully developed yet. On the one hand there is the matter with Networklock I mean if Eddie is running it works perfectly but if you close Eddie for some reason or it is terminated by another process, the connection is immediately free and the actual IP appears. I tested it several times with Automatic with Windows filter control and with iptables on Linux, same result. Why can't Eddie, like other VPNs, keep it that way if desired so that the Internet only works with Eddie or have I overlooked something? Then the things with minimization under Windows will dutifully disappear into the taskbar if desired, but under Linux, despite installing the Gnome extensions for tray icons, I still have to move them to another workspace - only. It's annoying. That's exactly how I ask myself why airvpn doesn't have a double hop, of course because of tor, but does it really make sense that I first have to install and start tor so that Eddie can access it? I do not know. Otherwise I think airvpn is really great, I like the technical details but these are things that annoy me. Maybe I'm just missing something, I'm happy about any suggested solutions.

hi, I am using bluetit with allowprivatenetwork=yes. In nft this creates the Input rules, with according Output rules: ip saddr 192.168.0.0/16 ip daddr 192.168.0.0/16 counter packets 4359261 bytes 100522180956 accept ip saddr 169.254.0.0/16 ip daddr 169.254.0.0/16 counter packets 0 bytes 0 accept ip saddr 10.0.0.0/8 ip daddr 10.0.0.0/8 counter packets 1101 bytes 115928 accept ip saddr 172.16.0.0/12 ip daddr 172.16.0.0/12 counter packets 0 bytes 0 accept but I am coming from a vpn-endpoint on 10.0.0.0/8 and cant login to my server on the 192.168.0.0/16 with those rules. Could you please allow connections from all private LANs to all private LANs? Fixing this with scripts in the systemd-unitfile is a bit annoying. Thanks

I'm back again! I have a scenario where I have a server on my home network. This server is intended to run all its traffic except for LAN traffic through airvpn using bluetit. I also have a Wireguard server running on the gateway of said device. The server is on the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet, and remote hosts are allocated to the 192.168.2.0/24 subnet. I do not have the ability to change IP allocation, but the gateway routes packets between the subnets just fine. What I would like, is to be able to access this server from the remote subnet, with bluetit active just as if I were locally connected, but it seems to drop all packets. This happens even with network lock set to "off". E.g. when bluetit is active (with network lock on OR off) I cannot even ping (or ssh, or access web services on) 192.168.2.x -> 192.168.1.y, but with bluetit disabled I can. Question is then, is there a configuration option to fix this? If not, is there a workaround?

Description of Issue and Initial Testing: As the title states, whenever I have AirVPN with network lock enabled then starting Firefox takes an inordinately long time (for example, if I were to open the terminal and type "Firefox" it takes about 5-10 minutes before anything happens on my screen; it does not matter if I start Firefox from the GUI or terminal). The issue does not present itself when I try to open a chromium-based browser; it opens normally. It does not matter whether it is the first time launching Firefox or the nth time for n > 1. If I attempt to start Firefox, then the browser will still not open if I disconnect from the server. It will open the instant I turn off network lock. Startup speed is normal if I connect to a server without network lock enabled. Sometimes the problem intermittently comes and goes (bad days and good days) but most of the time it is there. I have tried adjusting the homepage in firefox and it made no difference, even if I set the homepage as simply a blank page. Conditions to reproduce: Use Eddie-UI on Fedora 40 (unsure if it depends on the distro/OS) Enable network lock Connect to any server Attempt to open Firefox or any Firefox-based browser. Investigating further, the following messages are printed in journalctl when the conditions above are satisfied (approximately alternating): I do not know enough about how networks are managed on gnu/linux to resolve this on my own, or make sense of this error. Nothing in the logs for Eddie seem to point to the issue either. I have attached the log from Eddie for completeness. It shows me connecting and disconnecting from various servers and attempting to open Firefox with network lock enabled. Additional info: OS: Fedora 40 (the issue is present on earlier versions of Fedora as well, at least since Fedora 35) Client: Eddie UI version 2.21.8 Firefox version: version 128.0, and present on earlier versions. Note: A separate issue that I will briefly mention here, in case it is relevant, is that on most WiFi networks I have a DNS leak visible in ipleak.net with AirVPN--with or without network lock. On a few networks this DNS leak is not present as long as network lock is enabled. When I say DNS leak I mean that ipleak.net shows the VPN DNS server as well as my router's DNS servers. Again, this may or may not be relevant. Eddie_20240715_004856.txt

Hello 1. I have Eddie installed and configured (it's working) 2. I have Open VPN Gui installed and working (it's working) When I use connect to a server from Eddie it's working fine When I Use Connect from Open VPN it works fine as well but How can I connect a VPN and use a networklock simultaneously? IN eddie I can either choose to connect or to lock network - it confuses me a lot.

ANSWERED How do I use Network Lock? 1st time Eddie user
curhen57 posted a topic in Eddie - AirVPN Client
Hello. I just got my subscription for AirVPN recently and installed Eddie. Already, I find it trickier to work with in comparison to other VPN clients. I presume the Network Lock is Eddie's version of the killswitch. The problem I'm having is that whenever I activate the Network Lock, it completely kills my internet connection even though I am connected to an AirVPN server. Help please? Thanks. -

Any ideas what is wrong?

So I have software on my machine which i wish to block connection to the internet on. I have my machine set to boot up, run air vpn, air vpn automaticly activates network lock ( this is where the issue occurs ) , then air vpn connects to a whitelisted server. Now the problem is that airvpn removes my blocked in and out traffic rules in my firewall for the software i wish to prevent from connecting to the internet at all. Is there a way to add rules that airvpn writes when it re configures the firewall settings
