  1. Recently, I read that the US government is planning to pass a bill called the EARN IT act proposed by senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal. Basically, with it passed, the government can force companies to drop encryptions for online messages so they can read our private conversations.I don't need to explain why this is a bad idea so I'll just cut to the chase. Please follow this link, read about it and Call on your representatives to oppose the Graham-Blumenthal Bill! (U.S. Citizens only I'm afraid)
  2. Hello, I have been referred by a friend who recommended this service, and I have some doubts. Does AirVPN store the IP address of the person connecting to the server ?, if so ... for how long? Do you have access to identifiable user data such as IP address? Do the servers used by AirVPN only work in RAM? At the request of a government / police force / intelligence agency will you release my IP address or any other information that can identify me? Thank you very much for your kindness. I send you a big hug.
  3. Hello, I just heard of a news story that said the UK government is mandating all ISPs keep records of peoples browsing habits for a year - all webpage they have gone to. This will also be shared with other governments. No warrant required, your info sits in a database for whenever they need it. The European courts said it was illegal, the UK cited security concerns. Oh and that have been doing it all along - but now being transparent about it. Question: What does that mean for VPNs? Are they subject to these laws? What about VPNs outside the UK? Thoughts, comments? Thanks, Mr. V
  4. Hi all, Today the dutch goverment agreed with a new Law on Computer Criminality III. This gives the police the right to hack any device off a suspect, by using exploits, zero days and backdoors.. What kind of impact has this on the dutch servers of Air? And how can we protect us from being hacked. Sorry for my poor English! I will go to a English study after the holidays Source: https://www.telecompaper.com/news/dutch-parliament-to-vote-on-cybercrime-law-20-december--1176773 Source 2: http://www.zdnet.com/article/dutch-police-get-ok-to-exploit-zero-days-so-will-that-just-mean-more-surveillance/
  5. https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/singapore-ministry-law-review-legality-vpns-093052361.html So it has finally come to this. May I suggest the AirVPN staff take note of this potentially unwelcome development and possible future ramifications given the dismal record of the regime on the issue of individual rights, censorship and consumer data protection vs big business. No doubt, users who depend on Antares server will be concerned about possible privacy breaches as a result of any clampdowns on VPNs should it come to that.
  6. The EFF compiled it's annual report regarding major internet companies transparency. Worth to read which ones you should avoid (I would recommend avoiding most) https://www.eff.org/who-has-your-back-government-data-requests-2015 PDF version: https://www.eff.org/files/2015/06/18/who_has_your_back_2015_protecting_your_data_from_government_requests_20150618.pdf
