  1. I've used the dynamic DNS service for a very long time and all of a sudden the DNS entry doesn't get updated anymore. What I have tried: Wait for 3 hours to make sure that the TTL has been reached: Check ✔Check the TCP Port via the ✔Check my client if the connection worked: Works ✔Try to connect via the IP under "Mapped to public IP:": Works ✔Connect to the server via the airdns.org domain name: Fail ✘Resolve the AirDNS IP: Fail ✘Issue: The IP address is wrong and hasn't been updated yet
  2. Hello, I installed successfully an AirVPN connexion on my synology station using those instructions The goal is to redirect all the torrent traffic (Download Station application) through the VPN tunnel. The thing is that I have other services on this synology server, like cloud station etc.. To use those services I use a dynamic DNS name (currently at no-ip.org). Problem is that when I am connected through the VPN tunnel, those services don't work anymore. What is the best approach to this problem ? In my mind, the best would be to be able to split the traffic on my synology server i.e. to redirect only the traffic of the Download Station application through the VPN but not the rest. I have not been able to find a clear "How to do this" and I don't even know if it is possible. Other possibilities would be to open some ports on the vpn servers I am using if I have understood correctly. Thanks in advance if you have more detailed instructions or ideas on how to achieve this goal.
  3. I'm trying to figure out how to use an SSH tunnel to access my home computer when I'm away. I used AirVPN to forward a random port, and then set that as my listening port on my SSH server. Several hours later, I tried to connect from another location, but my SSH client didn't recognize the hostname (****.airdns.org). I logged-in to this site and checked the Dynamic DNS Name Propagation. Each DNS server has a red error message. AirVPN DNS, Google, and OpenDNS simply say "EMPTY", but the other two give rather specific error messages. OpenNIC says: ";; Connection to 109.235.51.12#53(109.235.51.12) for ****.airdns.org failed: connection refused." DNS Advantage says: ";; communications error to 156.154.70.1#53: connection reset" I have absolutely no idea what any of it means, but I can tell that my home computer is still connected to an AirVPN server.
  4. I'm building a Linux home server, and some resources (mostly protected by password & SSL) will need to be accessible over the internet. Also, I'll need to be able to SSH into my server over the internet, to initiate remote tasks or something of that nature. In order to do any of these things, I'll need to get a dynamic DNS, at least until I can get a static IP. First of all, is this even possible to do while my IP address is masked by airVPN? If so, does this present any additional security concerns? I assume the dynamic DNS provider will know the outbound IP of the AirVPN server I'm using, but would that actually be a problem? After all, every site I connect to can already see that address.
