  1. Hi I changed my windows yesterday(windows 10 20H2) and install new version of eddie. I live in Iran and you know how the censorship in Iran is. from yesterday when I try to connect it says " checking authentication" and I can't do nothing. it doesn't connect at all. I think it can not connect to airvpn servers to check authentication but I didn't have this problem before reinstalling my windows and eddie. please help me.
  2. hi. as indicated in the topic... i set up auth. via a hashed password in torrc. i'm dead sure i'm copying same hash over to eddie (with the 16:prefix). one output only: Unable to communicate with Tor (515 Authentication failed: Password did not match HashedControlPassword *or* authentication cookie.). Is Tor up and running? Tor is detecting that control connection, but not complaining about auth issues (in the output). [notice] New control connection opened from 127.0.0.1.
  3. Hi, Totally new to doing VPN over TOR. I'm just seeing what its like to set up. I'm using an iMac 27" macOS 10.13.3 & Eddie 2.12.4. I have Tor Browser installed and running fine, its connected to TOR. I followed the instructions on this page: https://airvpn.org/tor/ - In Preferences for Eddie Proxy/Tor>Type>Tor I clicked the test and Eddie indicates there is connectivity to Tor. Am I actually running the VPN through TOR as it is? See images. The Test indicates there is connectivity. But how do I know the VPN traffic is running through TOR? ipleak.net doesn't indicate any tor exit node. Any help or suggestion will be appreciated. Cheers.
  4. Hi, Authentication checks as reported with prior versions of Eddie continue to fail with the release version of the Eddie client. After the authentication check (40+ seconds), it takes a minute thirty to two minutes of 'Connecting to..' before connecting to the AirVPN service. 5. Hi, I have a suggestion that should increase security for Air and customers. My suggestion is for Air to configure an optional system of multifactor/two-factor authentication for logging in to the AirVPN website, as well as for the initial setup of the Eddie software (entering login details). This can be enabled or disabled by the user and accomplished by either: a smartphone app such as FreeOTP (which is open source and available for iOS/Android).a hardware device such as Nitrokey (which is open hardware) or a similar USB one time password generator (Yubikey, etc.) The user will be prompted on their phone or mobile device with a number to enter in additionally to their password. This makes sure nobody but the authorized user has access to the account, profile, etc. Air would probably be the first VPN provider to have this as an option. Regards, anonym
  6. I want to use the linux network manager which I think is a built in open VPN client, I am not sure but I need a .pem, .crt or .key file to login and no matter what I choose on the configuration generator all I get is the basic set up. It also wont let me select "ssl tunnel" even though I am selected 1 single server.
  7. Does the term host address from AirVPN.xml serve as a synonym for front-end server from e.g. Windows & Comodo - Prevent leaks tutorial? AirVPN's front-end servers have been changed few times since I bought first subscription. Can I therefore use AirVPN.xml to update Comodo Firewall/iptables configuration?
  8. Hi Everyone, Does any of you folks had any problems with login into Airvpn by getting the error message such as "cannot recognize the remote name auth.airvpn.org" ?? This thing is just popping out every time I try to login and I dont have a clue what can be the actual reason for that. I have tried to reinstal airvpn using both normal and the 64bit on my 64 bit win7, and nothing helped. I even tried to disable my firewall for a while to see whether its causing the issue and also didn't help. Looking forward to your responses and huge thanks in advance for your comments and sugestions. Peter
