TLDR: Reinforcing the request for a server in Portugal Good afternoon everyone, first of all a huge thanks to the Team behind AirVPN for the awesome work you have been doing, I never had the need for a VPN and choosing one was quite the task, and after some research, your history made the choice easy for me. I've only been using your services for 9 days, but so far no complains. I've recently changed ISP and found out that they use CGNat, and since CGNat is the Achilles heel of P2P, this made me dig deep into the subject, I've known the topic regarding "shared IPs" since the mid 2000's but never had the curiosity to learn about it, simply because I wasn't affected by it and neither were most Portuguese, well... Here I am now, and while researching the topic, mostly focused on my country, I've noticed that more and more Portuguese have been placed behind a CGNat (and getting frustrated by it, if I may add). The 3 main ISPs we have (MEO, NOS and Vodafone) have been moving towards CGNat implementation on a heavy scale in recent years, fortunately they've also been working on IPv6 implementation, but IPv4 is still king... I know there was a server in Portugal (Tureis), and it was shut down due to its provider closing doors, also it made no sense to have such a cost on something that was rarely used, the majority of P2P'ers in Portugal had no need for a VPN, but the tide is changing, at least it changed for me. I know that you do your research and debate on where to open servers, and providers have to tick all the boxes for privacy and security reasons, and of course, the investment has to make sense, but I hope that in the future we have the possibility to use a server located in Portugal. As for now, I'll be using the servers of my Spanish brothers. Best regards to the AirVPN Team.

Today I was reading a posting on M247's site, where they mentioned that in the year 2020, they plan to expand/have expanded into three new locations, one of which being Lisbon, Portugal. AirVPN previously had some servers in Portugal but unfortunately the provider shut down services there and AirVPN has not been able to find a new provider for services in Portugal. M247 is already well regarded in terms of being used for VPN services with performance that is usually quite good, and I have had a dedicated server with them for two years and had good experiences, in addition M247 is already used at multiple other AirVPN locations, and I think they would be a good choice for servers in Portugal for users who would like to have servers there.

Dear Staff, After multiple people, including me, already mentioned in this thread - https://airvpn.org/topic/11908-new-1-gbits-server-available-nihal-es/ - whenever we connect to the Nihal server, ANY service (in my case TV and Pay-TV, which very annoyingly does not work with your "Spanish" server) recognises Nihal as being in Lisbon, Portugal. Furthermore it is supposedly registered to a portuguese name, too. If I understood you guys right, the server actually is in Spain, but that does not change anything for us users, as every "normal" ip-checking website locates the server in Portugal. So the server actually being in Spain, but showing itself as Portuguese to basically every website I was testing, does not help at all. It is rather unpleasant that internet-based Spanish Pay TV contents are not possible to access with AirVPN. The old spanish servers, albeit supposedly much slower, worked perfectly in that respect. As we didn't get any additional and/or problem-solving replies in the above attached thread, I would appreciate it very highly if you could help us out with this and fix that problem. Having said all that, I want to emphasize that I absolutely love AirVPN and what you guys offer. I think it is amazing and you have all my respect for the way you are running AirVPN. The above problem is the only drop of bitterness I am experiencing. Cheers
