  1. Had no problem whatsoever with the previous version (18.x). The moment I upgraded to the latest KAV build (Stable, not beta, “Technical Release”, etc.) all Hell broke loose The only way to get connected, is to pause (or shut down) the Anti-Virus. I’ve tried adding Eddie to the "Trusted Applications", tweak a few things here and there (...), nothing seems to work Any suggestions? (Something that doesn’t include the terms "Downgrade" or "Rollback") I’m all ears.
  2. Kaspersky have finally released 'Patch E' to most customers. This resolves the major problems caused to VPN users who also use their Internet Security software. Kaspersky keep changing the location of the complaints topic and deleting/merging the numerous threads on their support forums but at the time of writing the information about 'Patch D' (which caused the initial issue) can be found here. According to another post one of their moderators says [read it carefully]: On my system the issue was so bad a few weeks ago I had to uninstall Kaspersky and use alternative AV software. Now the issue has been resolved I have re-downloaded Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 and it is working without issue with AirVPN. 'Patch E' installed itself after installation and rebooting my computer once. YMMV. You can force a 'Patch E' install via their beta testing; instructions here. This should not however be necessary as they are rolling the stable patch out to all customers. The problem appears to have been caused by KIS injecting traffic in order to block ads and malware prior to it reaching the browser. Patch D also changed the software's interaction with DNS. Whilst a fix could have been made for OpenVPN it would have meant making unnecessary changes to OpenVPN because of Kaspersky's bad implementation. The full download (187 MB) for KIS 2017 (English language) is here. This file is not the small web-based installer.
  3. Hey, everyone: Not sure if this is the best place to post this or not, or if this is being discussed elsewhere; I tried to search for topics related to this, but couldn't find anything, so I figured I'd start my own. If it needs to be moved or is already being discussed, please change it, or let me know where I can find the information. I'm not really a fan of Windows 10 firewall, and was hoping there is now a way to use Network lock with Kaspersky firewall? I know a year or so ago, there wasn't really a way, but now I'm seeing something about "Windows Filtering Platform" to help with that? What is WFP? Is there a way to get Eddie and the Network Lock to work with Kaspersky? If so, how would I go about setting it up, and testing to make sure it's setup correctly? If not, how can I make sure that my Network Lock and Kaspersky aren't interfering with one another and are setup correctly? Thank you, Kevin
  4. Hi Evrybody, Since Yesterday, my antivirus (Kaspersky Internet Security 2016) has detected 3 network attacks when I was connected to Netherlands servers. The Intrusion prevention module says that the "network attack has been blocked. The details are: UDP against "ip adress" on the port 1434 The ip adresses are: - 120.193.156.174 - 219.140.181.106 - 221.232.247.2 I'm a little worried about that because it's the first time. Is it normal, like false-positive? Best Regards Philips
  5. Hi, I use AirVpn since yesterday. I have a confic with Kaspersky Internet Security and AirVPN. Every time, I turn AirVpn, Kaspersky detect a "Dos.Generic.SNFlood" or "Scan.Generic.UPD". Thanks for any help, it will be greatly appreciated.
  6. ( wasnt able to post in How to section ) You need to disable all SSL Scanning ( even if you DONT use a SSL tunnel via air vpn ) else you get alot of Disconects ( atleast i did ) First Set all Open VPN and AIR VPN Processes like this up Now Allow the following Processes OpenVPN Daeomon openvpn.exe AirVPN - Windows UI Now the next step is to Disable SSL Scanning dont worry you wont harm your security as Kaspersky told me there are Multple layer that will still cover you ! Then Click here All done ! mine now works 1 hour straight ( before these settings it was disconecting every 4 min approx ) Works even with other clients and or vpn . Sorry for my english. Have fun !
