Hi, I'm using Eddie version 2.21.8 on Arch with Bspwm with no problems. Iptables updated yesterday and when I went to start the client today, there was no button for network lock. I checked the update log and presumed that this was iptables. I had a previous problem with it, which I resolved by using nftables. I downgraded iptables to the most recent version and rebooted. All problems were resolved. Just a heads-up to anyone who encounters this.

Hello, I recently installed Antergos Linux (Arch Linux) on my main Computer and my Laptop. So I downloaded the Config files and tried to run them with the default openvpn. I cannot establish a connection. The resulting error is: Thu Feb 1 12:47:55 2018 OpenVPN 2.4.4 x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu [sSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [LZ4] [EPOLL] [PKCS11] [MH/PKTINFO] [AEAD] built on Sep 26 2017 Thu Feb 1 12:47:55 2018 library versions: OpenSSL 1.1.0g 2 Nov 2017, LZO 2.10 Thu Feb 1 12:47:55 2018 Outgoing Control Channel Authentication: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authentication Thu Feb 1 12:47:55 2018 Incoming Control Channel Authentication: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authentication Thu Feb 1 12:47:55 2018 RESOLVE: Cannot resolve host address: switzerland.vpn.airdns.org:443 (Name or service not known) Thu Feb 1 12:47:55 2018 RESOLVE: Cannot resolve host address: switzerland.vpn.airdns.org:443 (Name or service not known) Thu Feb 1 12:47:55 2018 Could not determine IPv4/IPv6 protocol Thu Feb 1 12:47:55 2018 SIGUSR1[soft,init_instance] received, process restarting Thu Feb 1 12:47:55 2018 Restart pause, 5 second(s) I tried it on my Android device where I also have the config files from before a month. The old ones are working, the new ones don't. Maybe someone has the same problem or a solution? The Problem occurs also when I download another protocol-config or change the Server/State. Thanks

Hello everybody, Maybe somebody can support me here. I am trying to get the whole thing running with the original Portable Linux Client of AirVPN. After I had the "net-tools" installed, the tool establishes a connection to AirVPN, but breaks the connection after a few moments, since no DNS server can be found. Of course, I have already researched the topic and found some tips that point to the DNS server "nameserver 10.4.0.1" to write to the file "/etc/resolv.conf". Since this file is always overwritten again, I had the file with "sudo chattr + i /etc/resolv.conf" protected and so the new DNS server actually remained in the 1.Line. But also the tool does not find a DNS server. My other system then synonymous only again, if the new DNS server again disappears. Does someone have you an idea how I get that running?

Hi Arch Linux (Gnome desktop). Downloaded Eddie 2.12.4 from AirVPN, ran it as-is and I can't connect. It attempts the connection to a recommended server. Client output is like this: Checking DNS then Checking DNS don't match then Disconnecting then Restarting in 3 seconds It tries to another server and fails again in the same way. Suggestions? Thanks in advance! Logs: I 2017.04.08 18:59:09 - Session starting. . 2017.04.08 18:59:09 - Unable to understand if IPv6 is active. Hey Everyone, Just learning the ropes with vpn's, got it working on my mac and my android phone, but having a bit of trouble with my arch linux laptop. I feel like I am just missing a step somewhere, but I following the instructions for the terminal setup (couldn't get the app to work, I'll play with it later). I made the config files, run 'openvpn configfile', it does its thing and I get the 'Initialization Sequence Completed'. But thats as far as I got becuase after that I have no internet. I feel like it must be a firewall issue or something isn't configured right. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks,

I am having a bit of trouble editing the resolv.conf file. Aparently, I cant edit it manually as suggested on the Arch wiki. "To use alternative DNS servers, edit /etc/resolv.conf and add them to the top of the file so they are used first, optionally removing or commenting out already listed servers." https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Resolv.conf Although I can open the file and edit it, I can't save the nameservers I entered. (I am as admin with root privileges.) I thought maybe it was being run by another process so I tried lsattr and nothing was holding it. I even ran chattr -i /etc/resolv.conf just to make sure. Still no avail.

Hello guys, I have a quick question which hopefully results with a quick fix. This is my first time trying to get VPN running on Arch. What I have done is download the congfig file, extracted into /etc/openvpn then through terminal typed in sudo openvpn --config /etc/openvpn/AirVPN/name_of_the_file_.ovpn The problem comes after the command executes and terminal outputs 'Sequence Authenticated'. I have no longer a connection nor can run a ping command. I am pretty sure I a missing a step. Any ideas? Please pardon my English and thank you much in advance.

Arch x86_64 Linux 3.17 LXDE Openbox Xorg Running the Eddie client results in a graphical error. The window frame and embedded text are fine but user fields are ~1px-3px. This makes it difficult to read any menu, log or text input (such as log in and password.) Not sure if it is just me but it is definitely just this software on my machine. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue but I thought I would post a thread for feedback. Thanks
