  1. Standard laptop set up. Windows 7 x64. One WiFi card w/ IPv6 disabled. TAP driver installs by default with IPv6 enabled. AirVPN functions perfectly it seems, within logs I see mention of IPv6 filtering being enabled and disabled without error, and multiple "leak test" sites suggest nothing to be concerned about. What's the advice on the IPv6 setting for the TAP driver: leave it enabled by default or disable it manually?
  2. Some three years ago I had a server with a native IPv6 connection. In those days I came to the conclusion that IPv4 is still the way to go with a VPN. Due to the fact that v6 is still on the rise (about 15% at the moment https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html) I was curious how the status of AirVPN nowaday is, with regard to IPv6. Are you any closer to a tunneld native/pure IPv6 experience?
  3. I have been using airvpn for a while and only recently realized that I have been leaking my ipv6 address... So, I want here to resurrect an earlier thread related to ipv6 leaking (https://airvpn.org/topic/18108-ipv6-leak/.) I experience the exact same problem. Under linux (Mint 18) I disabled IPV6 on my machine (by adding the following in /etc/sysctl.conf # disable ipv6 altogether net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1 net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1 net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 1) AND selected the advanced AirVPN client option to disable IPV6. Still, visiting https://ipleak.net shows that my ipv6 is leaked. Selecting the network lock is only way to avoid the leak. I consider this problem a real issue...
  4. Hello fellow AirVPN users, Here is my issue that I'm experiencing with AirVPN: Problem: I'm experiencing issues with IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity on my Windows 10 machine. I started experiencing this shortly after installing the AirVPN client. I mainly use this machine on one of two WiFi networks (home and work) and the issue behaves differently on each network. Work Network: On my work network, "No Network Access" is displayed for both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity on my WiFi status dialog box. I cannot make any sort of internet connection on any application on this network nor can I log-in or connect to AirVPN. I also see a yellow triangle over my WiFi icon on my Windows notifications taskbar. Home Network: After restarting/rebooting/booting/waking the computer, the WiFi status lists "No Network Access" for both IPv4 & 6 connectivity. However, when I try to log-in and start an AirVPN server connection through the client, the IPv4 connectivity status changes to "Internet" while the IPv6 connection remains on "No Network Access." The yellow triangle disappears over my taskbar WiFi icon and I'm able to connect to the internet with my browser. My IP address seems to be properly displayed as my AirVPN server's IP and no DNS leak is detected by dnsleaktest.com. However, I used to have IPv6 connectivity on this network prior to installing AirVPN client on this machine. If I disconnect and close AirVPN, the IPv4 connection remains on. Attempted Solutions: 1. Disabled network lock 2. Ran Windows Network Diagnosis: stated that machine seems to be configured correctly yet DNS connectivity cannot be obtained. 3. Ran a series of "netsh int tcp set..." commands based on the instructions at this website. No success. Any help would be appreciated. AirVPN works well on my Linux machines but it's critical that I'm able to use it on this Windows machine. Thanks!!
  5. Hi, The question says it all, really, does ipleak.net detect IPv6 leaks (it is not clear from the wrebsite)? Thanks!
  6. How concerned should I be about my ipv6 address leaking if my computer has Privacy Addressing enabled? I'm using Viscosity for AirVPN and my router has ipv6 enabled via a 6 to 4 tunnel to my ISP. When I try an ipv6 leak test, I see the "temporary" ipv6 address of my computer but not the real one. Would this be enough for someone to trace traffic back to my computer anyway?
  7. Hi guys I'm trying to use AirVPN on my Nexus 5 and my Samsung Galaxy Tab S and due to the way Androids are, and at present with no apparent IPV6 non leaking solution in place by just about every VPN provider out there, as soon as I get connected, my IPV6 leaks, thus not allowing me to watch tv from abroad. Besides disabling IPV6 on my router, have you guys got a work around in place as yet? Cheers.
  8. I am looking to solve an issue where I want to disable IPv6 but keep LAN connectivity. I'm not really a network person, and my understanding of IPv6 is pretty scant. I'm assuming since many VPN clients offer the ability to disable it, and I don't really see it being used/discussed other than under security issues, that its worth disabling in some situations. Is it really OK to leave it on? I certainly don't want to become the victim of some new exploit or anything. But I need access to my LAN machines like my file/media server. Do I need to just set a local 192.x.x.x range in the Routing setup of the client, to keep them outside of the VPN? I don't really understand why disabling IPv6 would disable LAN access anyway, since those PC's have IPv4 addresses, right? Outside of this issue I'm also just generally curious how/why this is. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
  9. I've been using this service for some time, here I have a few questions to the admins 1. Do you plan to enable DNSSEC on your DNS service (10.4.0.1)? 2. Do you plan to enable IPv6 at exits and inside the tunnel? And as transport protocol? I think recent versions of OpenVPN can do that easier than before (but I haven't tested myself). 3. Can you make it possible to disable/renew user keys and certificates and have 3 of them at a time, one for every allowed device? Now I don't know how to act if I leak my key.
