  1. Hello everyone, I'm a new user to AirVPN, and just installed Eddie, requested a port (random one) and connected to a VPN server (I've picked over 10 all over the world). Whenever I try to test out if port forward is working when I click "Test open" I always end up with Connection Timed out (110). I even tried Canyouseeme.org, same issue there. Does anyone knows why and what I'm doing wrong? I didn't have these kind of issues when I used Mullvad (before they removed Port forwarding)
  2. Hi! I'm having trouble using Plex with air vpn. I just want to use plex to cast video to my chromecast in the living room but I need to have air vpn closed for that. If I have my vpn on and try to open the server interface I get the blue wheel of death saying "connecting", but it never does. What do I need to do to get Plex working with air vpn for this kind of use?
  3. Hello all, I have read all the information here: airvpn.org/topic/9161-you-provide-remote-port-forwarding-what-is-it/ And I have done other digging within the forum. It just seems that these posts are not helping me fix my issue so I am coming to you pros for help! My issue: Trying to forward ports 6112 and 6113 on TCP/UDP [both], for a game I play. So: I go to the port forwarding section in the Client Area, and I put 6112 in as the LOCAL PORT. I click 'Add' -- it then generates another port number for me such as 9898. In theory, that's all I need to do - according to other forum posts and the link I posted above. What is the relevance of this 9898 in the grand scheme? I know for bitorrent, I can use the '9898' as my incoming port so torrent works properly. And I already did that. But for the game it doesn't work. However, it's still not working when I play the game. Any ideas? If I'm not on VPN, the way I do this is: Go to my router, forward ports 6112 and 6113 on both protocols and set my internal IP. And then go to port triggering and put that in the router too (I have a linksys router). And that's it - works beautifully this way. Is there something I am missing?
  4. Hello i wanna port forwarding but i need 21-53-80 system not accepting this ports.but my program is working only with this ports. system giving to me 3245-3543-5235 like so ? It saying und 2048 port reserved ? but i need that ports. How can i do thats ? Thank for everyone.
  5. I have a couple of questions regarding port forwarding. One - I saw this line - but it isn't explained in the FAQ page: Watch for warnings from our security check: a red token implies that your anonymity layer may be lowered or broken by a malicious adversary. What does this mean exactly? Where would I find this red token and what exactly could it mean? Also - is there any additional setup required after forwarding a specific port, or will this be automatic whenever connecting through the client? And lastly - for Dynamic DNS - is there a specific naming convention I should be following for this when coming up with a name? Thanks in advance, I know this is several questions. KR
  6. I am a new user of AirVPN. I am using the Bittorent client. I have established a VPN connection and the client works fine. Files download, upload and the incoming connections token is green. I check my IP with a Google search for the whole computer and it reports the AirVPN exit point ip. I check the ip of the torrent client with both checkmytorrentip and ipleak and they both report the AirVPN exit point ip. ipleak also correctly reports the listening port from my torrent client, even though I did not specifically forward it. I have the option to "automatically map listening port via NAT and UPnP" unchecked in the torrent client to prevent it from trying to map the port forward. Question: Is it necessary to specifically forward the listening port to a port in AirVPN? The whole system seems to work fine without it. Am I missing something?
  7. Hey can someone please help me ! I have tried twice on two different Ip's to port forward and both times it has failed .
  8. Greetings, I am attempting to forward a port through the client interface on the website to use for P2P. I choose TCP/UDP and a port, which was available, and it says it is forwarded. However, when I hit the button to "Check" the little light stays grey and says "Not reachable on server IP over the external port XXXXX, tcp protocol. Error : 110 - Connection timed out - Checked 0 seconds ago". I am connected to AirVPN at the time. I tried disabling Windows Firewall, which I can't imagine has anything to do with it, and also the SIP firewall on my router. Also have it set to open. Doesn't make a difference. I am also getting messages in Vuse that I am firewalled, even though I have set the static inbound port properly to what I forwarded on the website. Something clearly isn't happening but I am at a loss.
