Hi everyone A bit of a noob here but I was hoping I could get some help. I can't connect to any servers on the airvpn network - all of them make it to the routing bit and then "the remote name could not be resolved" comes up. Any ideas? I did change the DNS settings to Google (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) but I run another VPN and that logs on fine (before anyone asks, no I don't have them both running at the same time ) Any assistance would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Hey everybody, I am using ubuntu 16.04 and used to connect to airvpn via openvpn and everything always worked quiet well. But now I had to buy a new router, which is a EuroDocsiss router, and it seems that vpn does not work behind this thing. When I connect in the terminal via openvpn everything works just fine and I get "Initialization Sequence Completed" but when I try to connect to any site nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions how to nail down the problem? I am far from being a crack in handling ubuntu and stuff alike so please be patient with me Thanks for the help! I have just successfully downloaded the 211beta version for Linux Mint but it will not connect to any server. It keeps disconnecting and then trying again with a new server. Ailurus.

Hi! I am trying to forward a port on ddns. I have finally gotten airVPN working and my goal is to forward a port on a ddns. However, i went to forwarded ports and left the fields blank for both local and public ports, which lead to a random port. You can see the information in the following image: ATTACHMENT When i do the TCP test, it says "Not reachable on server ip over the external port 13096 tcp protocol error 111 connection refused" I have also made a python script which is checking ports and I have set it to check if connection can be established to "osconnection.airdns.prg:13096" and "http://osconnection.airdns.prg:13096" but it says there is no connection at all. Does anyone know how I could fix this? I have had some trouble with AirVPN lately.... :/ Thanks! Cheers, Me

If this help (sorry if it is completely unrelated) i have a Ralink Adapter RT3290 which is a nightmare in linux , with many users having auto-wake problems after shutdown, since there are no supported drivers specifically for it anymore, and by default rt2800pci is used (which works quite well, except for the auto-wake problem and the fact that i cant login to my university's eduroam wifi). Hey all, today I encountered a problem with my airvpn. Whenever I try to connect, the application says connecting to [server name] and then starts flushing dns. I've tried reinstalling and manually connecting to a different server. Neither of these things worked. Can anyone help me?

Like some others here, I too have an issue on Windows where after "Checking route", the vpn client throws out the error from the title and doesn't connect to a server. I've played around with different settings while reading logs trying to see what causes it and it seems that for some reason either Windows or the vpn client dislike when both your default (ISP) network connection and the TAP (VPN) network connection have the same DNS settings. Fortunately, there's an easy workaround: 1) Make sure your default network connection's DNS are not one of AirVPN DNS servers (i.e. not 10.4.0.1). It can be either automatic or some of your other favorite DNS servers. 2) Check that the TAP network connection is set to automatic DNS servers (don't put any in manually). 3) In the 2.11 beta vpn client (I haven't tested on 2.10 stable) open Preferences (and click on "Reset to default settings" just in case) -> Advanced -> and then uncheck "Force all network interfaces for DNS". After that open the DNS settings tab just to make sure everything in there is set to default values (DNS Switch mode - Automatic, Check AirVPN DNS - yes, DNS Servers - blank). That's it. Now, there's one thing I'd like to mention. When doing all this I was worried that I would have a DNS leak because when I was using a different VPN service it would occasionally leak the DNS set in my default network connection's settings. However I've tested it out and there's no leak, and if you want to test it out for yourself I suggest using both ipleak and doileak, and for best results make sure you disconnect and reconnect several times to the same server and a few other servers in between tests, just to cover a wider ground. Feel free to ask questions or leave comments. P.S. As a general tip - I recommend you don't use your ISP's DNS settings for your default connection (unless you have to) cause there are some great uncensored and faster DNS servers out there. And as for the VPN DNS server I recommend you do stick with default AirVPN DNS servers cause it's useful having your IP and DNS address be the same.

I haven't got internet connection from my real IP when I disconnect in the client. When I connect to a VPN server, everything is fine, just sometimes I have DNS errors in the browser for seconds when I'm browsing. I've been struggling with this issue about a week. I didn't change anything before the problem occured. I updated the client software now, but everything is the same. I don't know what to do. I would like to set up everything to default, but I don't know what was changed in the settings by the client. I don't want to reinstall the Windows 7, probably this would solve the problem, but if the client changed some settings, maybe it could occur again when I reinstall it. Sometimes I use the internet without VPN, so I need to solve it. Can you help me with this?

Hi. I am new to this as of this morning. I could connect fine on my home wifi and through my phone's hot spot but I am unable to connect to any servers at my public library, which is why I need the VPN in the first place. Is AirVPN vulnerable to a MiTM attack by sysadmins looking to throttle their clients? According to http://security.stackexchange.com/questions/53444/vpns-vulnerable-to-mitm-because-any-certificate-goes OpenVPN does not validate that the cert is correct, thus making it possible for ISPs, sysadmins etc, to trick the client to use a fake cert so they may monitor the connections contents. Is AirVPN safe from this?

Hello, I am away from home for some time, staying at a hospital. Luckily they have wifi I got a personal SSID Wlan with a personal key here. I am using TOR as protocol. However since I'm connected with this wifi none of the AIR-VPN servers show me a ping, neither I can connect when TOR is open. (TOR itself works fine) Any ideas how to fix this? I already tried to ipconfig /flushdns because I read it somewhere. However nothing changed. If I change the protocol to automatic no servers are pingable as well... Greetings

Cela fait bientôt une semaine que j'ai souscrit à un abonnement la procédure est très simple aucun soucis de connexion à un serveur, celà dit sur certaines application ou même pour pouvoir jouer en ayant un maximum de ping je souhaiterais savoir s'il vous plait comment bien désactiver AirVpn. Le problème étant que lorsque je me de déconnecte je n'ai plus accès à internet comment donc faire pour à la fois profiter des tunnels du VPN et pouvoir aussi s'en "débarrasser" lorsqu'on a besoin merci à vous. Hello, I have recently encountered problems with connecting to AirVPN via the network manager in ubuntu 16.04. I followed the guide correctly and the gnome network manager plugin is installed and works correctly. I have downloaded the correct configs and separate files, and everything is configured to work correctly. When I use firefox or even ping www.google.com i get no response and firefox doesnt connect, even though i get a message that the VPN connection is established successfully. Any fix for this? Could this be related to DNS issues or something ?

Hi I just bought the service and whenever I try to connect, either though the automatic system or through the server menu screen I get a loop of "connecting to x" followed by restart in 3...2...1.. and then the same "connecting to x" message as before. It never connects to the server nor does it. Any tips?

Hello, I have this problem which is not going away since I installed Eddie. It occurs with stable Eddie 2.10 and the new 2.11.3 beta. Installed new windows 10 x64, no anti-virus software whatsoever, only windows firewall and windows defender (I somehow can't deactive windows defender) I did not changed windows firewall settings. The mainboard got only 1 ethernet port. Router is working with no errors. I did not configure the router - just installed and it worked 100%. Cut to the chase: Case 1: - My internet connection is only working, when Eddie is running and I'm connected to an airvpn-server. Whether Windows firewall is running or not, doesn't matter. Whether network lock is enabled/disabled doesn't matter. With this, I can do everything: browse internet, listen to internet radio stream, play online games. http://www.pic-upload.de/view-31678207/working.png.html Case 2: - Eddie is running but not connected to an airvpn server, network lock is deactivated; windows firewall enabled/disabled The tap-windows-adapter V9, which was installed during the Eddie installation, is disconnected (windows diagnosis: Ethernet cable is not connected). I can't browse website, listen to internet radio BUT I can play my online game unreal tournament 2004. Peculiar: I can't browse or whatsoever, BUT whenever I try to load a website, the orange mainboard LED (ethernet port) begins to blink - this means it's up and working. Same result as in case 2, except again: UT2k4. Eddie is starting with windows. Even when I disable autostart and windows starts without eddie, I get same result as in case 2/3. As I already mentioned, there is one strange exception: it's the online game I play, u2k4. In case 2/3, I start the game, I go to the ingame tab "Servers" and the game is showing me the ut2004-servers, up and running, so I can connect to them and play online. But the even strager thing is: case 2/3 with network locked disabled (ofc. I need to disable network lock when Eddie is up and running, or else every traffic would got blocked). I start the game, go to "Join Game" and the "news feed" is showing me that the game can't connect to the "UT2k4 Master Server" -> "Querying Master Server: The UT2004 master server could not be reached. Please try again later." This normally means that I'm offline and can't connect, but as already mentioned: In the other tab, servers are shown to me and I can play online. So I thought that windows firewall/eddie set up some strange internet connection rules. I checked the windows firewall setting and reseted them to the default settings, but nothing changed. I checked HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules, there are ~100 registry keys. But as mentioned: I did not change anything. I think this is not how this Eddie is supposed to work. thanks in advance

I'm trying to connect to a server, and no matter which one I chose, I'm unable to connect. Each time it just disconnects and tries again, which then fails. Rinse repeat.

After disconnecting from a VPS server, I (and it seems many other users) am unable to browser the internet. The reason for this is because AirVPN changes your DNS settings but does not restore them after disconnecting, which is why users are unable to connect to servers. The code needs to restore DNS settings on disconnect (or exit if the network blocking feature is activated). Cheers, f4l3m0n

Hello, For some reason I can't connect to the Netherlands servers or Sweden servers in AirVPN for Windows. They are showen as the fastest, but I can't connect to them. One Austrian works for me, but has a lower ping. Are the servers down, or is there a problem with my client?

Hi, I'm a new user of AirPVN and I can't find a solution to my problem : I'm a Windows 10 user, and sometimes I might have to use an internet connection without the AirVPN, I have also the Internet Lock enable when I use AirVPN. But even after exiting properly AirVPN (disconnect to the server and then click on "Disable Internet Lock") I can't reach internet, seems like I don't successfully close the Internet Lock, any idea ? Hello everyone, I have AirVPN installed on a second desktop of mine, and I'm having an odd problem with it. I can connect to AirVPN servers fine and get acceptable speeds, however, when I shut down the VPN, I can no longer connect to the internet. So, I need to be connected to some VPN server to be able to connect to the internet. I suspect this is due to a bug with the Network Lock feature, which I'm using on both desktops (one of which is not having any problems). Both desktops are connected to the save network via Ethernet cable. I tried disabling network lock on the afflicted desktop, but had no results. I also tried uninstalling AirVPN (and restarting the PC), which also did not help. Is this a known bug, or perhaps something entirely different? I tried searching online for a solution, but all I get are threads about people not being able to connect with a VPN, not without. Thanks in advance!

Hello, for reasons that i cannot identify my Network Lock is not working. When i disengage the VPN or the connection drops all of my applications are able to get through unfettered. I have attached my log to see if it can provide any help to you. I will also be submitting a support ticket. My Network and Sharing settings are the standard automatic for my wireless adapter and my Firewall was reset once when i could not connect without the VPN, so i am curious as to how i can fix this. I am using filezilla as FTP Client and while i am connected to an airvpn server, I can't connect to any ftp servers. Without airvpn it works fine. Help please?
