  1. Hello everyone, I have a weird problem with Eddie, I cannot connect to any server anymore. It worked for months on Windows 11 till now. From now on : Eddie is set to connect at startup, but it doesn't seem to try to connect to the servers. If I click on “Connect to a recommended server”, it doesn’t do anything at all, just as if I hadn't clicked. I cannot close Eddie, when I close I get the confirmation window, I click “Yes”, then the confirmation window close, but Eddie doesn’t close. I must use the Windows task manager to quit. I cannot change the settings, because if I try to change them, the setting window get stucked. I must then use the Windows task manager to quit. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, disabling my antivirus, using Malwarebyte scan, it doesn’t change anything. I tried to delete the Eddie folder in Appdata. Then, after lauching Eddie, it ask for my login, then Eddie is stucked in neverending “Checking login”. I tried disabling my ethernet connection in Windows network setting before launching Eddie. Of course Eddie can’t connect to the servers, but Eddie is no longer weirdly stucked and I can quit/change the settings properly. Eddie is again stucked if I launch it with internet connection. Thanks in advance, any help would be greatly appreciated. 2. Dear Maintainers, The Eddie application icon is very blocky both in the Dock and in Task Switcher. Using Gnome 3.30.2 on Debian Buster. It's been like this for the past few versions, for as long as I can remember. I don't know if this is Debian/Buster specific. The icon referred to in the packaged .desktop file (/usr/share/pixmaps/eddie-ui.png) looks fine when opened in GIMP as can be seen attached. Anyone else have this issue or know a fix? Thanks!
  3. Hi AirVPN, I've noticed that when visiting the Client Area > Forwarded ports section there is a HTML value that does not need to be there as it is displaying on the submit button: This can be fixed if you remove the value field from the HTML, I cant see why its there, please correct me if i am wrong: Hope this helps

  5. I'm sorry if I say anything stupid here I'm not claiming to know anything except that network lock is enabled, my DNS servers and ipv4 settings are on airvpns reccomended, and I still get webRTC leaks. See attached image below for an example of ipleak test on mozilla. Same results show on Chrome. Only setting I changed from default was what I saw in another forum to fix a problem where once network locked you were permanently stuck checking ipv6 unable to connect. https://airvpn.org/topic/28749-eddie-problems-wont-connect-keeps-dropping/Posted 12 July 2018 - 06:26 AM UPDATE: If anyone is having an issue with IPv6 check hanging during scanning try this (Support guys advised solution and it works for me ) In Eddie "Preferences" > "Networking" set: Layer IPv4: Inside Tunnel Layer IPv6: Blocked (HERE IS THE DIFFERENCE) Protocol used for connection: IPv4 only (another difference) Click "Save" to save the changes and test again. I'm not sure how bad webRTC leaks are and I would also like to ask if my ISP can find my torrents since I just noticed this, been torrenting for half an hour thought network lock would have made that ok but now I'm worred as I am one strike away from my service being terminated. I am aware that you can disable this in browser, but if browsers can see my personal info and location here it makes me nervous ISP can as well. I'm using windows 7 Home Premium and the only virus protection I have is windows defender. 6. TLDR: Network lock via the Windows Firewall is completely broken in Eddie 2.14.5. The following is based on a fresh Windows 7 Professional SP1 install (Vmware VM), Eddie 2.14. 5 is at stock settings except for Network Lock being changed from "Automatic" to "Windows Firewall (Not Recommended)". Upon enabling Network Lock, the following Outbound firewall rules are created: The "Eddie - Out - Allow IPs" rule (the one highlighted) allows ALL outgoing connections !? Indeed, no traffic is blocked when the VPN is not connected, thus breaking Network LockEnabling verbose logging shows the rule being created as follows: How on earth did this get through testing? I mean, I'm smiling, but I am very f***ing furious... This really shakes the confidence that i had in AirVPN as a professional and technically competent VPN provider.
  7. ipleak.net relies on using a specific js draft spec that is breaking with previous (and established) ECMAscript standards. The problem is that trailing commas in argument lists and arrow function arguments are not allowed in standard specification JS. Only the non-finalized draft spec for ES2017 allows trailing commas. Browsers which adhere to finalized standards will therefore have a lot of page elements missing on ipleak.net due to the following errors: SyntaxError: expected expression, got ')' index.js:129:12 ReferenceError: IpLeak is not defined ipleak.net:38:0 Please remove trailing commas. Not only is it nonstandard, it's also very sloppy.
  8. Hey I found a small typo and couldn't find any bug report section (maybe I'm just too sleepy to find it right now) and didn't want to bother the support with it. Since the bug I found this time isn't as critical and dangerous as the last one I'll just post it here. Typo@/ports/ -> #content > div.ipsBox > div > div.ipsVerticalTabbed_content.ipsLayout_content.ipsBox_container > div > form > div.message_error Even though I'm not English myself I'm pretty sure that it should be "or".

  10. I'm attempting to exclude the a certain IP range in the client (so that the IP's specified will go outside the VPN) but it will not let my use the range I specified, I cannot enter more than 0/32 (it will say that the IP is invalid if I do more than 32). Just in case it helps the IP's I'm exuding are as follows. 208.78.164.0-208.78.164.255, 208.78.165.0-208.78.165.255, 208.78.166.0-208.78.166.255any help would REALLY be appreciated, I'm desperate to get this problem fixed.
  11. I've tried to connect to a bunch of US servers today and they all fail while trying to add the route info, but I can connect to any Canadian server. I've changed my protocol settings but nothing changes.

  13. Hi everyone, I know there have been speculatory threads on VM in the past, but I wanted to post some findings in case anyone finds them useful. I have a 152Mbps connection from VM in the UK and have noticed the following: Using the Superhub 2 and OpenVPN (443, UDP) gives a hard cap around 3MB/sec over ethernetUsing the Superhub 2 and OpenVPN (443, UDP) gives full speed on 5GHz wifiUsing an old PC running pfSense beta with the Superhub 2 in modem only mode removes the 'cap' and allows full speeds regardless of connection method I had been very frustrated by the 3MB/sec limit, especially when downloading torrents over OpenVPN (port 443, UDP or TCP) using a cat6e desktop PC. The limit applied in Windows and Linux equally and I'd eventually tracked down the issue to the Superhub 2. After switching into modem only mode and connecting through the pfSense box, I was able to get full speed regardless of the OS, and connection method (wireless or ethernet). Having switched back temporarily to the Superhub 2 in router mode (to set up a media streamer on the TV) I once again encountered the cap when downloading a Linux torrent (Elementary OS Freya Beta 1). This time I was running Eddie rather than OpenVPN GUI so I switched the connection to SSL Tunnel 443 and voila - full speeds! So either VM are throttling OpenVPN connections, or there's a bug in the SH2 which interferes with the handling of OpenVPN connections. Given VM's history of throttling and capping I would generally suspect the former to be true. However, I have noticed that even with normal OpenVPN connections (443, UDP) I get full speed over wifi but the cap returns when switching to ethernet. It seems the SH2 has (yet another) bug or issue in routing OpenVPN connections, and changing its firewall settings etc has no effect. Anyone on VM experiencing issues with low speeds would probably see good results from switching to the SSL tunnel. I'd be interested to hear back from anyone else having problems with their SH to see if this helps others. I could always stick to the pfSense box of course, but it's an old desktop which uses a lot of energy compared to a small consumer router box. My network isn't complicated enough to warrant the pfSense box unless it's essential - which now, with the SSL tunnel, it isn't.
  14. This is a super annoying bug if I get disconnected (either through loss of wifi signal or disconnected ethernet wire) while I'm connected to a session. When I re-establish the connection over the network I cannot re-establish a connection with AirVPN I get "OpenVPN is already running". The only thing that works to fix this is a machine reboot!
  15. When attempting to add a port, typing in the port number followed by the Enter key does not function correctly (submit the port to be added) but in fact deletes a previous port that has been forwarded (the first/lowest port). This could possibly be a side effect of the recent bugfix. Also, I'm now getting "Port X already assigned to you." when trying to add a port back even though it's not shown. "You are using 3 of 20 ports available." I see 3, but it's reporting the 4th one is still assigned. Could be temporary. EDIT: Now showing 4 of 20 and the port has been added back however the main issue of the topic still persists.
