  3. I am using AirVPN (Version 2.12.14 Linux 64) installed on Ubuntu 17.04 (64 Bit). In the AirVPN General Preferences menu, I have "Connect at startup" ticked, and "Activate Network Lock at startup" ticked. When the system is started no AirVPN processes are started, and none are started automatically at login. Can someone please explain what I am doing wrong ? Many thanks, RoyG

  5. Hello, I have been referred by a friend who recommended this service, and I have some doubts. Does AirVPN store the IP address of the person connecting to the server ?, if so ... for how long? Do you have access to identifiable user data such as IP address? Do the servers used by AirVPN only work in RAM? At the request of a government / police force / intelligence agency will you release my IP address or any other information that can identify me? Thank you very much for your kindness. I send you a big hug.
  6. First of all, I would like to declare that I read and implemented this post: https://airvpn.org/topic/11476-using-airvpn-with-openvpn-for-android/ On OpenVPN, I imported the config file that I generated through AirVPN, and when it comes to activating that config file, I just cannot confirm the dialogue box showing up. It is displaying that there is a connection request and OpenVPN for android wants to set up a VPN connection that allows it to monitor network traffic. I just cannot click OK when this dialogue box pops up... I tried all kinds of things that I thought would affect the result without any success such as giving storage permission to OpenVPN, generating the config file as both UDP and TCP, selecting platform as both Android and Linux, as well as selecting various servers. Don't know what else I can do. I even tried to directly connect to VPN without OpenVPN through Android VPN settings. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  7. Can anyone comment on this report done on vpn leak tests and tell me if these issues have now been fixed on Eddie Mac OS X client please. Or in fact if it ever was a genuine problem. also any IVPN users who have anything to say about that vpn service seeing as they sponsored it. Sorry im not sure on the date it was done so this topic might already be on this forum somewhere but a search here didn't bring any result. heres the link to the report https://vpntesting.info
  8. Hi, AirVPN Community I just join the AirVPN community. I choose AirVPN becomes its open privacy policies and some advance features like SSL over VPN. However, the Torrent download speed got me disappointed a little. I did some speed test before I used Torrent client. My Wifi Download speed was around 50 mbps and it dropped to 38~ mbps after I connected to AirVPN. This is understandable since I know using VPN is bound to have some performance hit. At the end of the day, I was still able to stream 4k. So, it was all good. Yet, when I tried BitTorrent to download something. The difference was too drastic. I could go from a download speed of 3~4 Mbyte/s when I NOT connected to AirVPN to somewhere around 300~1000 Kbyte/s when I connected. The maximum torrent download speed with AirVPN connection I have seems was only around 1.2 Mbyte/s. That was about 80% drop in performance. I have set up remote port forwarding, disable UPnP port mapping and NAT-PMP. It didn't help. I think since I could reach to 38~ mbps on Youtube with AirVPN, the only two explanations will be either AirVPN is not friendly to p2p, or my Torrent client and setting is not friendly to AirVPN. I have tried pBittorrent but It was the same story. Could you please share your thoughts on why would this happen? Thank you very much! ======================================================================================================================================================================= Update#1 I followed this post:https://airvpn.org/topic/23389-p2p-connection-slow-no-matter-what-i-do/ I changed the protocols to SSL:443, and used Ubuntu torrent to test the speed. It's working perfectly and I can see my speed went up to 8 Mbyte/s. I don't know why it needs to be obfuscated with SSL. If anyone knows the reason, please let me know. Thank you! ======================================================================================================================================================================= Update#2 The bottleneck seems came from UDP Protocols. TCP Protocols is working fine as well. My guess is UDP Protocol drops too many packets between me and vpn server. I cannot get those losing packets from vpn server due to its UDP. So I had to keep requesting for losing packets from peers which makes other peers less likely to passing me more packets, or some of them simply just got timeout.
  9. I am running Windows 10 64 bit and have been using airvpn for about six months now. I have had occasional problems with the GUI failing to reappear after closing the interface and up till now killing the procedures in explorer and restarting the program, or simply restarting the machine entirely, has resolved the issue. As of this morning, I run airvpn and no GUI displays AT ALL so I have zero control over my VPN. I can't set network lock nor can I even tell if my VPN is on or off. Restarting and killing the procedures doesn't help like they used to. This is very frustrating. I ran Glary utilities quick system clean/fix as I do regularly and this problem appeared immediately thereafter. I love airvpn - consider it best vpn option out there but now if I can't resolve this issue in a timely manner I can't think of any solution but a switch to one of the less reputable ( really it seems most all these companies except air are simply 'me too's' in it for quick bucks and how can you trust them? ) options out there. This situation sucks big time. Any advice would be more than appreciated. Many thanks in advance for your input, DB
  10. Hello dear fellow consumers of AirVPN, I recently bought an AirVPN pass to be a little more safe. I want to use Plex media server also. After trying to get Plex working with AIrVPN yesterday's night for almost 5 hours I couldn't make it. Today it's working (or is it??). My setup: - On Plex --> Settings --> Server "Manually forward Port to: 32400" - Router (fritzbox 7360): "My PC --> Port forwarding to 32400 (active)" . On AirVPN: Port forwarding to 32400 So. 1. The thing is: I don't really think I am really connected to the VPN, because I'm downloading atm, but download traffic on AirVPN main window is 0. 2. Also the port forwarding in the AirVPN section has the yellow light (Ip reachable on real network). 3. Furthermore the Ethernet 3 Adaptor on my windows machine says "No Ipv4 connectivity" but is connected. 4. Remote access on plex is ACTIVE and WORKING! SO MY FINAL QUESTION REGARDING ALL THIS IS: Did I finally get it working or am I just simply not connected to the VPN and it's working because of this? I've no idea after all I've done. Could anybody please enlighten my metaphorical darkness? Very kind regards Follow_and18
  11. Hello all, I've been with AirVPN for quite a while and I don't plan on leaving because of the awesome service! But, like many of you I do like to investigate the features and reviews of existing and upcoming VPN services. I was using TorGuard a couple of years ago, it was alright but speeds were very inconsistent. Upon checking their VPN Blog page this morning I noticed that there's a post about then using a new technology called OpenConnect, which is supposed to be the fastest and most secure way of connecting to a VPN. I just wanted to know if this is accurate information and if it is does AirVPN use it or are they planning on using it? Here's a link to the blog post: https://torguard.net/blog/torguard-introduces-openconnect-vpn/
  12. Hello, When I connect to the Belgian server, Ipleak tells me that I'm connected from the UK. How can i fix this? ~Ahub When I connect with the Belgian server, airvpn tells me that I'm connected from the UKW
  13. Hello everyone, I'm using AirVPN and sometimes I access to websites protected by Cloudflare. Cloudflare often bans my IP Address and I've to change server. Could I simply request a new IP Address, without changing the server? Or, is there a way to not be banned? I noted Cloudflare sometimes put my banned IP address to a whitelist and I can use it other times, until Cloudflare bans it another time. Thank you in advance.
  14. When using Torrents my Speed is only about ~ 0.5 - 1.2 mb/s over udp 443! But if i try to download a steam game or something else it maxed out my fully 160 mbps internet that´s about 19 mb/s! Specs : i7 6700K - Windows 10 - OpenVPN - Unitymedia Cable Internet 150/10
  15. Hello people of this community, I'm using airvpn for 6 months now and i still love it! I have a 200Mbits internet connection. I expected to lose a lot of internet speed while using AIRVPN. But I was wrong. I still download files at 185-189 Mbit/s. (so a lose of +- 11Mbit/s) Airvpn is cheap, safe and very fast! I recommend everyone to use AIRVPN. You lose little to no speed and keep your privacy. What speeds do you get when downloading files? What speeds do you get when downloading files What speeds do you get when downloading files You lose little to no speed and keep your privacy. You lose little to no speed and keep your privacy.
  16. Hey, Just a few days ago before I left everything worked just fine, and now I'm back home and can't login. The error I get is: I've tried reinstalling, rebooting the pc and other things you try when you troubleshoot. There is also nothing in the logs besides the error in the pop-up window. A screenshot is in the attachments. Maybe someone knows what to do.. Regards
  17. Hello everyone. I was wondering if it is possible to use an ad-blocking non-AirVPN DNS on iOS? Why do we have to use the original airVPN DNS in the first place. We should have a choice of what dns server(s) we wish to use. Does anyone know if and how to get this to work? Thanks.
  18. Hi guys I always use to check my network info on ipleak.net also to make sure I'm connected to the vpn but, recently, using the Austria servers ipleak.net started to show that I'm connecting from UK. It's not a real problem as long as there are no info discloused about my real IP or provider, but I'd like to understand why that's happening. Andrea
  19. Just got airvpn and the download speeds on torrents keep rising and dropping all the time. Ive downloaded in the past without VPN and with a different VPN and the speeds were always steady around 900 kbs and 1mbs or higher. With airvpn its constantly fluctating every minute or 2. It goes up to around 1 mbs, then drops to 100kbs rinse and repeat. Already tried different servers and ports through SSL and SSH same thig.
  20. Currently I cant watch netflix while using a VPN tunnel, is there a quick fix for this?
  21. Hello everyone, I would like to create rules in the Windows 7 firewall so the AirVPN Edie client can work properly. Right now I have to allow all outbound connections for the client to work, which is not that secure. I want to have my Windows 7 firewall block all inbound and outbound connections unless I make a rule which allows a connection. I tried to make new rules in the Windows 7 firewall which included the AirVPN client files located in C:\Program Files\AirVPN to allow the connections but this did not work. I am fairly new to making firewall rules and using a VPN, so I need a basic explanation how to do this. Any advice would be appreciated.
  22. Sirs I just want to uninstall AIRvpn from Windows 7. I tried uninstalling via Control Panel>Programs & Features>AirVPN uninstall. It said it was uninstalled. Trouble is that I now have NO internet connection. I want to know: 1. Is there a simple way to uninstall it? 2. If yes, how do I do it? 3. If there's no simple way, why isn't there a simple way? 4. If there's only a complicated way, please tell me in VERY simple terms. I'm a bit of an idiot with computers. Wozza
  23. Hi everyone, Since I changed the DNS servers from my internet box, I can only access to websites threw their IP (000.0.00.00) and not from their names (google.com). I think it's related to a DNS resolution problem. I've tried some known issues on Ubuntu such as adding these lines to my ovpn files : script-security 2up /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-confdown /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf Here is my connection logs : Thanks ! agent41

I have found these threads on the topic, but none of them seem to give a conclusive solution: TOR (obfs) & AirVPN not workingTor with obfs4 - can't connect to airvpnI am running the latest 64-bit version of Eddie (2.11.10) and Tor 6.0.8 on Windows x64.
