    Hello!

Can you please send us the complete Viscosity logs?

From the piece of logs you have sent us, Viscosity is very clear about it:

OpenVPN configuration file could not be read

The OpenVPN subsystem could not be started. Please check the following:

    - Check for any error messages above this notification.

    - Make sure Viscosity is not running under a File Vault protected location (put Viscosity in the Applications folder).

    - Make sure the configuration is valid. Check the connection settings for the connection using Viscosity and make sure all settings are correct.

    Kind regards

  2. UPDATE

After further investigation, you should be able to accomplish your task simply adding in the routing table specified above the following IP range:

    208.79.64.0/22

    Kind regards

    Hello!

Can you please make sure that you properly copied & pasted the .ovpn configuration file generated by our configuration generator, and that it is accessible by Viscosity?

    Kind regards

  4. In order to answer properly, we kindly ask you to let us know: your Android version, whether your device is rooted or not, and what you use to connect to an OpenVPN server (for example, do you use openvpn-settings?)

We're looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards

I am running android 4.0.4 (ICS), it is rooted, and I had downloaded the openvpn-settings as per instructions on your site.

    Thank you

    Hello!

Please edit your .ovpn configuration file, and add the following line:

log-append /airvpn.log> [press ENTER at the end of the line]

The directive "log-append" will create and append logs for each connection. If you wish to create a new log at each connection, please use "log" instead of "log-append".

Pick an appropriate path and filename, for example:

    log /sdcard/openvpn/airvpn.log

You will find the logs in the specified file.

    Kind regards

  5. Hello!

The logs show various and severe connectivity problems from your client to our server. They are usually caused by extremely high latency and ISP line long (>60 seconds) dropouts.

First of all, please try a connection to a TCP port on different servers and compare the outcome.

We're looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards

  6. This is happening with all US servers.. ports 53 and 443. I keep getting The credentials (passphrase or username/password) were not accepted by the remote VPN server.

    OR it will just disconnect

Rarely am I able to use airvpn..

    Hello!

In order to help us troubleshoot the issue, can you please enable the connections stats from your panel (menu "Member Area"->"Settings")? Can you also please send us the connection logs when the problem occurs?

    Kind regards

  7. OK, I purchased a VPN service for 3 months, can you help me with the configuration? Router software has been updated, I put at the bottom looks like now. How will I take the configuration files?

    Hello!

You can follow the instructions for DD-WRT (except in the first part pertaining to DD-WRT firmware choice, of course). You will find all the relevant parameters and instructions to generate configuration, key and certificates with our configuration generator.

  8. Ok, it seems an odd problem nobody can tell me what it is:

Connection Speed over VPN is only 1/4 via FTP what I normaly get over VPN

Websites are not loaded, downloads via Browser is impossible.

    Ping: works fine, no problems.

    Email: works fine, no problems.

    Telnet: Just fine.

FTP: Like a charm, but slow.

Browsers tested so far: IE9, FF15, Chrome 21, Safari, Opera. I just reinstalled my computer and had just OpenVPN, Viscosity, AirVPN Client and the browsers up with the same problem.

    Hello!

Is DNS resolution ok on Windows and Mac?

Can you please send us the connection logs of your various devices (Air client logs for Windows, Viscosity logs for Mac OSX Lion)?

    Kind regards

  9. I'm regretting my purchase now.

    Hello!

You have not given us the information we required twice (logs, connections ports and servers, exact Android version...) so we can't give you any feedback or support. Full refund on its way.

    Kind regards

I apologize for being so hasty, I never saw a request for logs. I'm new to using vpns and was frustrated that I couldn't seem to get yours to work while having no problems with others. If you haven't already started the refund process, there is no need to, while I appreciate the thought,

    Hello!

The refund procedure requires that you give us some information, such as payment processor you used to subscribe and account with which you delivered the payment. Just don't answer to the e-mail requiring such information and the procedure can't proceed.

P.S. How would I go about obtaining logs you require from my android in the future?

In order to answer properly, we kindly ask you to let us know: your Android version, whether your device is rooted or not, and what you use to connect to an OpenVPN server (for example, do you use openvpn-settings?)

We're looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards

  11. I was wondering if the admins or the community would be able to do a step by step on how to set up AirVPN with uTorrent. I am trying to find a good VPN service and when I heard of this I thought I would give it a shot. However, I am a bit hesitant to sign up unless I know specifically how to get started. I am computer savvy but not technically savvy in this area and so I am a bit lost in how to get everything going. Any tips and suggestions would be helpful.

    Hello!

In addition to FPyro post, you can also find a step by step tutorial on the FAQ https://airvpn.org/faq

    Kind regards

  12. I mean, I am not complaining, because everything runs fine in mutorrent. It's just that I think this behavior is unusual, and I don't want to have some kind of unexpected security gap in mutorrent.

    Hello!

This is strange indeed. We need to investigate further as soon as possible. We need to know the listening port for your uTorrent and the server(s) you use. In order to preserve your privacy, please give us these data privately through the "Contact us" form, or write directly to info@airvpn.org. Please enclose the link to this thread to speed up the investigation.

    Kind regards

  13. I just did this but it seems nothing has changed as I checked my ip online and its still the same. Am I missing a step?

    Thu Sep 6 11:49:23 2012 TCPv4_CLIENT link remote: [AF_INET]104.49.11.144:443

    Hello!

The above line shows a clear problem: we have no server with that entry-IP address. How did you generate your configuration file?

    Thu Sep 6 11:49:26 2012 /sbin/route add -net 1104.49.11.144 netmask 255.255.255.255 gw 192.168.1.1

    Thu Sep 6 11:49:26 2012 /sbin/route add -net 0.0.0.0 netmask 128.0.0.0 gw 10.5.0.193

    Thu Sep 6 11:49:26 2012 /sbin/route add -net 128.0.0.0 netmask 128.0.0.0 gw 10.5.0.193

    Thu Sep 6 11:49:26 2012 /sbin/route add -net 10.5.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.255 gw 10.5.0.193

Thu Sep 6 11:49:26 2012 Initialization Sequence Completed

The routes commands are wrong... to begin with, where does that impossible 1104.49.11.144 come from?

Most probably you need to generate a proper configuration file with our configuration generator.

    Kind regards

  14. Hi,

Was wondering if anyone can throw some light on the following:

Am using Outlook Express as email client. No problem retrieving emails when on VPN but unable to sent any out. Not a problem sending out once logged out of VPN. Is there some setting in Outlook Express I have to set?

Using fixed IP and DNS addresses

    Thanks

    Hello!

As declared, outbound port 25 is blocked to prevent spam. You can use any other port supported by your SMTP server. You should switch anyway to "SMTP over SSL/TLS" for security reasons.

    Kind regards

  15. 1) When I use mutorrent, I do get the green network icon ("Network ok. Your network connection is working as it should"), even though I have NOT enabled port forwarding on the AirVPN website. Is this normal? Why do I get the green icon? (in any case, mutorrent seems to work fine and fast.)

    Hello!

This is not normal. Can you please check that the matching router ports are not forwarded?

    2) In mutorrent preferences for "Connection", there is a checkmark at "enable UPnP port mapping", and another checkmark at "enable NAT-PMP port mapping". Should I remove the checkmarks (they were there by default)?

You should un-check them: you wish that uTorrent listens to the port you tell it to listen to.

    3) In addition to the standard 14-point Global Rules Method outlined by admin, I have added one more Allow Rule which allows all traffic from my real wireless adapter to the "host group" address range "Allow IP In/Out From In [Home Network] to In [Host group addresses] where protocol is Any". Here, Home Network = 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 and Host Group Addresses = 224.0.0.0 - 239.255.255.255. I did this, because these addresses are (as far as I know) not part of the outside internet, and it allows UPnP and SharePort to continue functioning on my local network. If this rule is dangerously broad, please alert me to this!

It's just fine, you can leave that rule, it does not compromise your anonymity layer.

    Kind regards

  16. I just love the admin, he always explains things very clearly and precisely. Think I'm gonna stick with this VPN forever, if the quality of the support remains so high.

Oh yeah, I noticed that I get errors from youtube when connected to Leporis. The videos somehow won't play. After switching to another server, it works. Really strange.

Would youtube somehow block the VPN server ip? Can't seem to watch any youtube video with Leporis, it just says "An error occured. Please try again later."

    Hello!

    Thank you.

Just checked YouTube from Leporis and unfortunately you're right, while the access to the website works, the video download is inhibited. It may be an IP problem, yes. Leporis is very young, so chances are that it has been assigned an exit-IP address which caused abuses from the previous "owner". We'll look further into it and investigate YouTube policies to see whether it is possible to apply for IP-block removal.

    Kind regards

    Hello!

The problem is solved. Probably it was a temporary ban from YouTube to Leporis exit-IP, or just a technical issue.

    Kind regards

  17. Good afternoon.

Couple of days ago speed via any server and any port strongly fell. There is no even 1 megabit and download and upload.

    What's the matter?

    Hello!

We don't detect any problem. Can you please tell us which servers and ports you're using?

    Kind regards

  18. Hello!

In order to provide a better service, we are working to bring access to geo-discriminatory services also from the servers which are located outside the specific country.

The additional feature may be useful to all the users which would like to access a geo-discriminatory service in a country, while being connected to a server on another country. Furthermore, this service provides the option to access services in a country where there is no Air server. We have some countries available and we will be glad to "use" them against geo-discriminations.

This idea was born when one of our kind customers warned us about the IP block of The Pirate Bay website performed by one of our UK ISP (with which, hopefully, we will never make business again). It was the first time we saw such a blatant, not enforced by law Net Neutrality violation in a datacenter, worsened by the fact that nowhere in the policy or in any other place the IP block was mentioned. After having solved the problem, the expansion of the idea was obvious.

Experimentally you can test CBS on Castor (NL) and Pandora on Serpentis (SE). CBS discriminates against non-USA IP addresses, while Pandora against a lot of different country-IP, including Sweden. You are now able to access CBS even when you're connected to Castor and Pandora even on Serpentis. Remember, this is still at an experimental stage.

    http://www.cbs.com

    http://pandora.com

Please do not hesitate to give us your feedback, let us know what you think of the service and how it works, and also let us know whether you like to have access to some geo-discriminatory service if located in a country where there are no Air servers.

    Kind regards

  19. Hi staff,

I'm behind a IPv6 connection with IPv4 over DS-Lite tunnel and I have real performance problems with VPN now. Loading a website is a real pain, downloading is very slow und uploading is only 1/4 of my internet connection. I tested every server with every possible port/protocol combination with the same result. On a pure IPv4 connection there is no problem, only on IPv6 with IPv4 DS-Lite tunnel. My provider will change to this in some weeks and I'm one of the beta testers for this type of connection, so I will not have the chance to change back to pure IPv4.

    Any ideas or solutions? ^^

    Hello!

We don't support IPv6 at the moment, so your IPv6 traffic will be "IPv6 over IPv4" when tunneled to our VPN servers. It should NOT cause such performance decrease, unfortunately your tests suggest the contrary. In our plans, full support to IPv6 is currently not planned in the next two months.

Please contact us through our "Contact us" form, or write directly to info@airvpn.org explaining your issue (or just a link to this thread) so that we'll consider to refund you while at the same time keeping your account active for testing purposes, if you're interested.

Finally, a couple of questions: do you detect such performance decrease when you use different devices (i.e. not the DS)? How does the DS connect to a VPN server?

    Kind regards

  20. For some tests, I would like to disable Codomo temporarily. Is it possible to exit Comodo Firewall (but not uninstalling it), so that it will *not* come on again at startup when the computer is rebooted? Is there a setting in Comodo itself that would allow this?

    Hello!

You can set the Firewall Security Level to "Disabled". This will make every and each firewall rule inactive, even without rebooting, but will not prevent Comodo to startup. Your solution in the other message, on the contrary, will prevent Comodo completely to start at the subsequent reboot.

    Kind regards

  21. I did those 2,and still doesn't connect

    1) Use OpenVPN or OpenVPN GUI instead of the Air client

    or

    2) Add to your hosts file the following line:

    46.105.19.36 airvpn.org

    Hello!

Can you please describe what you have done to prevent DNS leaks? Also, please send us the OpenVPN logs.

    Kind regards

  22. When i run AirVPN,after i input login info and press Login,i get message 'Unable to connect to the remote server.

    My os is windows 7

The thing is,it was connecting fine before, but i had a dns leak,so after trying to fix the dns leak,it doesn't connect any more ? !!

    Hello!

Probably you have blocked DNS resolution when you are not connected to the VPN (preventing therefore DNS leaks, and that's fine). The Air client needs to resolve airvpn.org in order to show you the servers list, download certificates etc.

You have various options to solve the issue:

    1) Use OpenVPN or OpenVPN GUI instead of the Air client

    or

    2) Add to your hosts file the following line:

    46.105.19.36 airvpn.org

This line resolves airvpn.org to the correct IP address, rendering a DNS query unnecessary.

    or

    3) Secure your VPN connection with Comodo firewall in order to prevent every leak, not only DNS leaks, in case of unexpected VPN disconnection.

  23. Hello.

Yes Shakespeer has got port forwarding option. Which Mac OS X client do you have knowledge of, and maybe I can try set up on that and if I have problems you can then help me for it.

However, today I have another issue. uTorrent, which was working perfectly well, with ports all forwarded and the green light coming...is no longer working. Its the same problem...ports all fine on airvpn page but in my uTorrent client, it says its not connectable and that the port is not forwarded correctly. I also have the yellow light on, instead of the green, that I was having a few days ago. I have made no changes to any of my settings.

    Hello!

Let's check the server(s) first. Which server(s) do you use for uTorrent?

    Kind regards
