Clodo got a reaction from airnoob in Has Air given up on Eddie for desktop?   ...
Hi, I'm sorry about the delay on Eddie development, but in the next release we changed all source code from the ground up, to separate what needs elevated privileges and what not.
So we are re-testing all Eddie features.

For example, in the next release UI runs as normal user, and this can fix or cause worse issues in different Linux distributions. Re-testing all major distributions requires a lot of time.

Anyway, I hope to release it (as a beta version for feedback) when all supported OS (Win/macOS/Linux) are ready for use.

This is related to the next release of 2.X branch (the same UI you know).
In the meantime, we are building also the new universal UI for 3.X branch.

I hope we can release the new 2.x version as soon as possible.
I hope I can give you a date in a few days.
    Sorry again for the delay.

I don't see the issue. The preferences window is resizable.

It's correct, the new second set of port/protocol is specific to tls-crypt.

This is a known bug. This occurs because you have IPv6 disabled at OS or network-adapter level. Please re-enable, or wait for the next release that manages this situation better.

AirVPN is the most reliable and attentive service provider I've encountered. I will stay with AirVPN for as long as there is an internet!

I honestly don't understand why, it's the CMS we use (IPBoard).  The only notification we implement (under AirVPN section) are not grayed... Sorry, i will check the IPBoard docs about this.

I implement these styles. If the are issue or people need/want more styles, write to me a DM, thanks.

    @giganerd

    Hello!

It's an interesting consideration. In nowadays world some choices are hard, either because you do not have enough evidence or because astroturfing and other operations are ongoing.  At some point you must make a decision. We have carefully evaluated EFF operations especially on legal and law procedural grounds, software releases and informative/educational articles, and we have found an outstanding work.

We do not believe that Google huge sponsoring amount might impair EFF operations in the field of privacy (which is in our opinion a threat to Google current model and even more in the growing practical AI applications), at least not in the near future, and we hope that this is not the beginning of a "capture by sponsorship" (something which sinisterly reminds "regulatory capture" by big companies, although the means are different) which happened multiple times, for example with newspapers and publishers: I am a giant company and progressively buy your newspaper spaces for my ads, until you depend on me economically; then one day I tell you "do not publish that, rather publish this, or else I will withdraw all of my ads from one day to another".

Take Tor, as an additional example. It's no secret that we have significantly supported Tor and the Tor Project in the last years. However, the Tor Project has been funded almost entirely by the former Broadcasting Board of Governors  (BBG, now USAGM), the US Navy and the US Department of State bureau for Human Rights for years. Is this enough reason to drop Tor and not use it anymore? No, because we have total lack of substantial evidence about backdoors to favor any the mentioned agencies or anybody else, and that a person that should be above any suspect under this context (Edward Snowden) recommends Tor usage.

Eyes must always remain wide open but at the same time if you get lost in a network of theories and you see conspirators everywhere you risk to get stuck and never act.

    Kind regards

Clodo got a reaction from giganerd in What do you think of the new site design? (Welcome to report any bugs/odd behavior)   ...
    Hi to all!
Absolute NOT! We have an old, static copy of previous version as reference (yes LZ1, an old.airvpn.org ).
Absolutely any user-content will be the same without re-editing, only please be patience, we are working on that.

For all others: i will check each things tomorrow, please wait, i have other priority right now.
Unfortunately the BBCodes are deprecated for IPBoard, but there are the equivalent for spoiler, log etc, we need only to tuning and write a guide.
I added the Font button to the toolbar now. Some features still exists but are disabled by default in this edition.
  18. Thanks

Hi, you have en0 (Ethernet) with IPv6 disabled, from your system log:{ "friendly": "Ethernet", "id": "en0", "name": "en0", "description": "en0", "type": "Ethernet", "status": "Up", "bytes_received": "0", "bytes_sent": "0", "support_ipv4": true, "support_ipv6": false, "ips": [ "192.168.1.65" ], "gateways": [ "192.168.1.254" ], "bind": true }, ANDyou have in Settings -> Networking -> Internet protocol used for connection -> IPv6, IPv4 (not the default).

So, when you try to connect to a server that support IPv6, due to the option above it try to reach over IPv6, but fail because you have IPv6 disabled on en0 adapter.
. 2018.07.15 10:06:19 - OpenVPN > UDPv6 link remote: [AF_INET6]2604:6880:c713:5e84:45b1:390b:9c7e:9838:443 . 2018.07.15 10:06:19 - OpenVPN > write UDPv6: No route to host (code=65) "How" to reach our server (via IPv4 or IPv6, the option above) is not really correlated to obtain an IPv6 tunnel.
With Settings -> Networking -> Internet protocol used for connection -> IPv4, IPv6
you connect to Air server via IPv4, but still obtain a IPv4 AND IPv6 tunnel.

Confirmed bug. Eddie have some issue on network \\ path. Copy to local disk, or map the network path on a disk letter, or wait a new release that fix this issue.
    Thanks for the report.
