When connected to AirVPN, my download speeds are significantly slower than when I use clear internet without the VPN. When I am downloading torrents, I max out at 100Mbps download speed without VPN. When connected to AirVPN, my download speed maxes out at 20-25Mbps. Results are similar on speedtest.net under the same circumstances. I have tried a few different solutions including connecting to different servers in the AirVPN client, and I've tried using different protocols (SSH and SSL), but the speed remains extremely slow. Is this a known issue with Virgin Media? I could accept a small decrease but my download speed is 75% slower on VPN compared to without it. I will have to look elsewhere for another provider if I can't find a solution that improves the speed.
