Hello! Normally you get the "still running" error, if the process called openvpn.exe is still running, when you try to re-launch Eddie. So remember to quit both. It's especially important to quit Eddie via its own menus. However I think this issue has been addressed in the latest beta release 2.11.3, with an option called "single instance" or such. I can't say if the Staff have addressed the issue themselves or not, but they're often very quick to do so, if a large number of people are having the same issue; yet fringe cases, perhaps like yours, aren't always possible for the Air team to reproduce and so they might not have much input . Hello ! OP the truth is that we're all being watched by someone or something and increasingly so. No software is perfect either, regardless of if it's Tor or VPN software. But confining yourself to not using certain technologies, unless proven to be unsafe (such as the PPTP protocol), doesn't help you much necessarily. This is why we collectively have to fight for our rights, in each of our respective countries. If your argument for not using Tor is that you might get targeted more, then you might as well stop going online in a sense. If the same argument is made (and it has been) for VPNs, will you stop using them too? Also, I don't think you're paranoid. Being a concerned and aware citizen is not being paranoid; that's simply what people in high places would like you to believe, in order to marginalise your opinion. Furthermore, if there's a time to be paranoid for a good reason, these must surely be the times. Air Staff always recommend a partition of trust. Using a VPN + Tor. This helps defeat malicious Tor nodes too. But it depends on what you're trying to achieve. By the way, I should add that at least the Tor browser is hardened; especially compared to a normal browser. Hello ! How did you "quit" AirVPN? Did you click "Exit" in the menus or did you just shut down your computer? The Eddie client has had issues with handling things sometimes, if it's not shut down correctly. You can try going to your network connection settings, going to IPv4 and setting both the IPv4 and DNS fields to "Obtain Automatically" and then click "ok", on all adapters.

If not, you might get an error, wherein settings aren't restored. You should definitely not visit and download from the pirate bay or other torrent sites, without a VPN. AirVPN is likewise 100% okay with torrenting/P2P; which doesn't go for all VPNs. You might also benefit from checking the stickied threads in the troubleshooting forum, if win10 gives you issues.

I don't think it's reasonable to say they're the only provider who works with Netflix. Even Air works, it's perhaps just a little more touch and go. You've been posting a lot. I recommend that you try to keep your posts confined to one thread, insofar as this is possible. It makes it easier and more manageable for everyone; including yourself. I think your problem might be that your version of OpenVPN is outdated. There are newer TAP drivers available, besides the one you mentioned. If you try out the Beta version of Eddie, you'll automatically get the newest one. Otherwise please go to around page 3, in the stickied thread about TAP drivers, in the troubleshooting forum and read what giganerd said. Without logs we're pretty blind as to what the problem is. You could perhaps just wait until the problem occurs again though and get the logs then. You'll also have to be specific as to what number is "stuck". If it's in the DNS field for instance and mentions 10.4 whatever, it might be Airs. I previously told you to simply make sure that all adapters, both IPv4 and DNS fields, were set to obtain automatically and then click ok. (if you were having issues, as it can sometimes solve them). Constant re-installs will not automatically help you find out what the problem is. For that, we do need logs. Also, as an aside, make sure you don't have any anti-virus software messing with Air software, as you did recently make a thread about such software. You can try to look for exceptions lists in that software and see if you can add Eddie and openvpn.exe to it. Finally, you can either try out different protocols in the Eddie protocol tab or make sure your firewall is working fine too, by resetting it. Lastly, you're also welcome to ask AirVPN support, if you haven't already. But they'll need more information about the issue, just like us. Sent to you from me with datalove

Hello ! If you're on windows then yes download the windows version. The installer comes with everything you need. Unless you're being blocked or want to hide that you're using a VPN, SSH and SSL aren't necessary. Just stick to UDP or TCP. It's an automatic setting, so there's no need to change anything. In the IPv4 properties area, check that both IPv4 and the DNS fields have "Obtain xx automatically" checked. You can disable IPv6 as well, as it's not recommend that you use it. After downloading, you might also want to change your TAP drivers; simply check out the stickied threads in the troubleshooting forum.
