  1. Hello! Do you have an installer like gdebi installed?
  2. Hello! On behalf of the community, thank you for sharing . It's good to know, as many are quite concerned regarding payment method.
  3. Hello! Have you tried using a different protocol from SSL?
  4. Hello! The quick way is just to download the .deb file (so not the portable) and make sure you have the gdebi program installed; which comes with Mint 18 anyway, usually. Then a wizard will appear once the download is done and you just click through . Saves you messing with file locations.
  5. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! That was nice. I'm HONESTLY surprised to see the Netflix part haha! Consider yourself lucky, I say. - For the website you could try use an app like Tapatalk. It'll make the site quite nice to navigate on mobile. Otherwise I agree it can be cumbersome. - No Android client is planned as far as I'm aware. That's far out in the future, after Eddie 3. - As I've detailed in my user guide, there's next to no chance of there being more than 3 connections available in the future, due to privacy and cost concerns.
  6. Hello! What OS is this? Just go with automatic. DHCP is a way of automatically distributing IP addresses.
  7. I am already using AirVPN, but I need another one that has French servers. Hello! If it's just French websites you need to access instead of a French IP, then the micro-routing will help you with that .
  8. Hello! Are you using Kaspersky? You can also try to disable IPv6 on all your adapters, including the TAP adapter.
  9. Are you sure you're not able to download other versions? If not, I think Staff would like to know about that. If you're only going by the filename, then you should open Eddie and go to its "About" tab, to see the version number. As the version number isn't consistently shown in the download . Since Eddie is made by AirVPN, it's okay to submit support tickets about that too.
  10. Hello! You can download the version you want via the download page >> "Other Versions" link. You can also submit support tickets mind you, if no one replies.
  11. Hello! There's an abundance of threads on this topic again, in case you'd like to search. Please paste your Eddie logs from line 1 . Otherwise the usual solution is to turn on Network Lock and then go into the Eddie settings and disable "Check if Tunnel works", as well as sometimes "Check AirVPN DNS" in the DNS tab. You could also try updating the client - such as to the Beta release.
  12. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! You can check the new user guide in my signature if you wish, as it contains some troubleshooting/configuration tips for both torrenting and the Eddie client. There's no problem in keeping Eddie off, no. Unless as you said, you're torrenting, then it should be on so that your IP is masked. Although it's good to test on ipleak.net to see if Vuze is leaking your IP or not. You can try out different servers and protocols with Eddie. If that doesn't work, you can still share your Eddie logs with us if you'd like.
  13. Hello! Please append the full logs. You can also check the status of any server on the Status page here on the site .
  14. Haha, you're right, we should all just install Arch Linux and be done with it
  15. Hello! Ubuntu is a Linux distro. I think you'll find most of it works fine. Yes there were some privacy issues thanks to Canonical. But you can simply use a different, but similar distro if you want, like Linux Mint. Just install and then download the Eddie client from this site and that will work, if you want the easiest solution; if I understand you correctly .
  16. You're not wrong. Besides, you could always check ipleak.net on whichever device it is.
  17. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! I'm just curious, is this with Network Lock turned on? In the Eddie settings, you can try to turn off DNS checking temporarily to see if that helps.
  18. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! I recommend you check out the new user guide in my signature and go to the torrent guides section. Your problem may stem from not port-forwarding to not setting things up correctly in the torrent client .
  19. Hello! I hadn't seen this thread. First of all, please post your entire log from start to finish. Second of all, are you using WiFi to connect to everything or is there a wired connection involved too? Third, have you tried updating the Eddie client? Perhaps even trying the Beta version? Fourth, I haven't experienced qBittorent acting in the way described. At any rate, Network Lock should help. Fifth, please remember that there is a dedicated support channel in the Client Area. So you're not reliant on replies here .
  20. Hello! I strongly recommend trying Eddie. It's a great piece of software and just an OpenVPN wrapper anyway. I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to share your VPN connection. I use Mint too and I can easily create a WiFi Hotspot while Eddie is on, so that any other devices can connect .
  21. Hello! He means there's a certain limit to how fast you can go, given the current CPU you have, as regular consumer routers, even the ones meant for VPNs, are quite weak. Imagine a highway - one lane is slower than having two lanes for traffic. So even if you have a very fast car (a fast connection you bought), it still won't make things go faster if there's congestion due to only having one lane, due to being restricted by what the CPU can handle. You could also eventually upgrade to a Turris Omnia for example; it's beastly and can handle a 100MB OpenVPN or so I hear. Welcome to AirVPN, I hope you'll like it
  22. Hello! Please try restarting your TAP adapter, in your network connection settings. You can also go to its properties and to the advanced section and enable to option to keep it connected. You may also benefit from updating to the latest Eddie client if you haven't. There's a Beta version too, if it still doesn't work.
  23. Hello! What software are you using? It has been reported before.
