  1. oh, you're connected just fine. it's checking route that's failing. In advanced settings disable the option to "check if the tunnel works" but I suggest you do use network lock, if you're not already.
  2. Good to hear. Use the network lock. There's a setting to allow local network access even with network lock on. You shouldn't have to add routes to get to your router.

    Well ...

What are they supposed to do about sites blocking their servers? There's a difference between being blocked for geolocation rules and being put on a blocklist due to IP address range, or because some idiot got the server blocked because of abuse. Unfortunately, I've even been blocked by pfsense forums because they use some database that had the server I used on a blocklist. What issues? Don't like the forums? Create your own. It's theirs to control. They don't control the whole internet. The fraction they do control is a tiny speck of the whole matter. Their servers are blazing and I regularly get 400mbit/s speeds when the actual content server (e.g. Microsoft updates) can handle it. On the other hand, I've tried other providers and not been pleased at all.
  4. Of course, if you're willing to learn. You can build a pfsense box on a budget that can handle 400mbit/s with AES-NI. Seriously, I bet you don't spend more than $150 if you try to keep costs low.
  5. AirVPN offers dynamic DNS. All you'll need to remember is the DDNS name you gave to each forwarded port. Then you can force your servers to listen on whatever port AirVPN assigns you, no need to remember the different port numbers. If you're having stability problems, then talk about it on the AsusMerlin forums. https://www.snbforums.com/forums/asuswrt-merlin.42/
  6. I suggest you buy a month at the regular price now, then the main bulk of your subscription with the discounted price when you get a chance. I imagine the discount will run for a week. Will you not get a chance sometime therein?
  7. It is not virtual currency. It's cryptocurrency. See this thread for ideas. https://airvpn.org/topic/20734-suggestions-for-setting-up-bitcoin-account-beginner/?hl=bitcoin
  8. Its all about the encryption and decryption, that slows the router down. The router has no dedicated AES de-,en-cryption chip .While the cpu of a pc/mac support AES .And sometimes you find a separate chip on the the motherboard for the AES. If you can buy a router with AES function included than you have the right hardware for openvpn . So if you want speed from your router, use a pc and install pfsense or opnsense on it. Gr,Casper You obviously didn't read and understand my post. I'm well familiar with this business. But, thank you. It's the thought that counts.
  9. The problem I had was a conflict with add-on "cookie autodelete" and some settings that had been placed in firefox itself to never accept cookies from several websites, airvpn included. I don't know where those exceptions came from but when I removed them all, things started working.
  10. Make sure network lock is running, and point qbittorrent to the VPN interface in advanced settings. It should just work. I did for me in Mint 18.2 without any extra work.
  11. Router CPU will be slower than PCs.... but I also happened to purchase yesterday that router for my parents and saw that it was slower than my old AC68 (basically same router but with SLOWER CPU). I obviously expected the 1400mhz AC1900 to be faster than my old AC68. I have no answer at the moment and a cursory search of the internet didn't turn up anything.
  12. Stay tuned, something really hot is coming. Kind regards I can tell something is coming with the rearrangement of the site header Making room for something new??
  13. I get a few services/sites blocking me from time to time, but never a problem with username/password. It's always a clear "you're blocked because you're on a block list", or the site doesn't respond, or 403 error.
  14. So far I like Quantum's speed, though I disagree with their statement that it saves memory.
  15. I'm using it, though I do feel a little naked not having some of the add-ons I liked. Namely, Ssleuth and Privacy Settings are missing for me. I think Privacy Settings will come along. But, SSleuth won't work unless Mozilla add a missing API.
  16. It seems I got it fixed. Perhaps some problem with previous settings and how they were used in the new version.
  17. Most definitely stuff has changed. This stupid new firefox 57 and all the new add-ons that I had to install because some legacy ones don't work anymore.
  18. I don't know if it's a problem with the new firefox 57 or the new add-on system but I'm getting the cookie disclaimer at the bottom of the page with every page load. Anybody else seeing this?
  19. My suggestion is for you to use Asus Merlin firmware, where you get much more control over openvpn. There you can specify what DNS you want to use. My thoughts are you're having a DNS problem.
  20. Since you're running openvpn on your router you must forward port from TUN to LAN. Port forwarding GUI in router creates rules that go from WAN to LAN. You'll have to create rules with iptables.
  21. curious. I don't get the whole ipv6 need. are there sites you can access only via ipv6?
  22. all the info will be in the openvpn config files that you can create in your configuration generator. I suggest you select advanced settings, click resolved hosts in ovpn, and separate certs and keys. thak you for reply. i will try it asap last question i found server ip and port numbers in (.ovpn) file exp(frankurt-adhara ip 185.104.184.42 port 443) but remote network ip adress and netmask is missing. what are these values? The remote host/IP Address will be the IP address of the server you want to connect to. Leave remote network IP address and netmask blank as those are passed by DHCP.
