Inactivity timeout??

This problem started about 2 weeks ago, i pasted the Viscosity log below.

When this happens it's like turning on and off the router, because i can't navigate even if i'm not connected to the VPN. The connection restart itself randomly. Can be a ISP problem or VPN? I have this problem with all the server that i tried. Sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 2 hours.

Hello!

 

It looks like a communication problem in any point between you and the VPN server. The fact that you need to reset or power cycle your router, and that after that everything goes back to normal, suggests that it's either a router crash or some "defense system" of your ISP or your router which wrongly identifies the OpenVPN UDP traffic as an UDP flood attack (when you connect to a VPN server over UDP, all of your outgoing and incoming traffic is over UDP).

I don't power cycle the router, it reset the connection itself. I have always been using this router, is a Cisco X3000 and i never had problems. Now i remember that this problem happened also without being connected to the vpn, just one time.

 

There is a IPv4 firewall protection SPI on my router settings, should i disable it?

Yes, please disable it (it is anyway useless when you're connected to a VPN server, because it sees only encrypted traffic, so it can't inspect anything) and test whether the problem is solved.

Thanks for helping, i disabled the router firewall. Let's see what happens.

After 5 minutes i was connected to the VPN the connection restarted, this happened 2 times in about 10 minutes. And if is a defense system of my ISP as you said before how can i solve this?

 

 

UPDATE: I'm using a different router. It seems to work now.

I'm still having this problem, i think it started when i installed stunnel. I never used it, just installed. I tried to find how to uninstall it on Mac OS  but nothing. Any help on how to uninstall it or check if it's working in background.
